Hotel Meyrick is a wonderful place, designed by Mulvanny one of thegreat Irish railway architects, it oozes tradition and history. Oursuite was, quite simply, the most impressive hotel room we have everhad in over thirty years. The furnishings, decor, paintings and prints- including a lovely James English oil - all added to the experience. The staff from check-in to check-out were courteous and friendly andnothing was too much trouble for any of them. A hallmark of the Meyrickis service. The various extras, accessories and facilities contributedto afeeling of being spoiled and when you add to that the magnificentview over Eyre Square and the Galway Christmas Market it was, in aword, magic.

Myself and my hubby stayed here weekend 27-29 August I had booked it as part of his 40th birtday present... best thing I ever did.. From the moment I entered the lobby the staff couldnt have done enough for us... they even showed hubby where car park was which we got at a discounted rate and was so convienent to hotel... The room we got was excellent nice modern contemporary decor and large bathroom with excellent shower and we had a balacony view which was great... Breakfast was served from 7.30-12noon which was great or later if you required... and food was great and excellent choice... again staff were brillant couldnt do enough for us or other guests.. although we didnt eat in the resturant due to prior arrangments the food which we saw been taken to diners tables looked excellent.. lovely bar and again staff brillant... I dont think Ive ever been to a hotel were the staff looked busy and productive the whole time.. well done to you all.. as for loaction couldnt have got better
Martin  — 29.11.2011.
I liked this hotel because of its location, rate and friendly staff. We were also able to check in early, approx 1.30pm and check out later that would have normally been the case. The room was functional with a large flat screen tv. All usual room extras were available and we were given back of hotel accommodation to avoid the Sunday night noise coming from the street. We had breakfast and an evening meal in the hotel which were both excellent and again good value for money. The rate we got through booking.com was the best of any site visited at the time. Finally I would recommend this hotel for those wanting a short weekend break based in the centre of Galway

Young lady behind bar counter was lovely, she made the place feel like ahuge livingroom. It is also so close to the city that you could spendtime in the city or in the hotel at regular intervals if needed.Breakfast was lovely except a little slow. Seems to have a really goodregular clientele - always a good sign. They also gave out finger foodduring the match - well done you guys! O and the bed was sooooo comfy.
