What I liked best. Located in the City Centre but quiet and overlookingthe river and Kilkenny Castle, which was just beautiful. The food wasGourmet through and through, full marks for presentation and flavour. The staff were very helpful. I was able to park my car at the front doorof the hotel. Arrived early for check-in but rooms were ready. I had tworooms booked. We only stayed one night but would certainly stay thereagain when in Kilkenny. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I was so pleased with this hotel, from its excellent location, in the heart of the city and a prime location on the river opposite the castle. Close to everything cultural or otherwise, to the value for such quality hotel. A 4 star with lovely rooms, pool & spa, free in room movies, even the car parking was reasonably priced at 5 euro for 2 days. Unfortunately we didn't eat in the dining room, but I gather its won awards. The breakfast was very nice. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. You can't go wrong in this lovely hotel.

This hotel has the friendliest, most accommodating staff, and nothing istoo much trouble. Loved to swim a few lengths, relax in the jaccuzzi, then in the steam room; repeat as often as possible as pool/spa are openall day during the summer. We checked the Rivercourt's position onGoogle, so the rather discreet arched entry (immediately prior to thebridge on the left) was relatively easy to find, a warm welcome after along drive was much appreciated and our room suited us down to a T. Thehotel's location made shopping, sightseeing, eating/drinking out asamenable as was possible for 2 seniors with walking difficulties in thisfascinating city.
