I was in Dublin for the marathon so the Mespil Hotel was great location wise, near the start line, not too far from the finish line and within walking distance of the expo. Living in Europe and traveling extensively, I didn't have any expectations going in- I've seen it all. But when I opened the door to my room I nearly gasped. It was HUGE! Very well furnished and a ginormous window with a lovely view of the canal. We were on the third floor and it was quiet even though the hotel was really full (of mostly runners). The staff was extremely friendly all the way around, from the front desk to the cleaning crew. We ate a few times at the restaurant and enjoyed the food there as well (also surprising). Really liked the post race beers in the hotel pub after a rainy marathon! I would highly recommend this hotel to not only marathoners, but other travelers! We will definitely be staying here again for the next marathon!

I stayed on June 29th as a solo traveller. I was attending a concert inrds and found the hotel's location excellent. The staff were veryprofessional and I would have no problem staying in this hotel again orrecommending it to my family or friends. The location of the hotel issafe and secure. The room was very comfortable and clean and unlikeother hotel's I've stayed in, the room was very quiet and peaceful. Thehotel is ideally located near St Stephen's Green and Grafton Streetwhich I walked to. The breakfast on the morning of my departure was verygood, the choice was super and overall this hotel is excellent.

The Mespil hotel was a fantastic place to stay, especially the HotelStaff on reception, once you walked through the door they were sofriendly and welcoming. It was a very cold night when we arrived thehotel was so comfortable and warm and the Christmas decor was wonderful.I would recommend it for a holiday, business or shopping trip or a breakto relax. I was sorry we could not stay longer but the next time I am inDublin it will be the first Hotel on my list to stay.
