Had read reviews saying noise from Christchurch was v loud, heard thebells but didn't find this a problem at all. I was on a high floordirectly overlooking Cathedral, so maybe a problem if you left yourwindows open but otherwise I think you would want to be a light sleeperto be bothered by it. Personally, I thought it was charming. Met threedifferent reception staff during my stay, all of whom were very pleasant& helpful. I am very familiar with Dublin, I chose the hotel as I was asolo traveller & wanted to stay somewhere I would feel comfortablewalking back from Temple Bar on my own at night. I would feel safewalking to this hotel from Temple Bar via Dame St. I've stayed in nearbybudget hotels in the past which I found were grotty in comparison tothis hotel. Room was spotlessly clean, room fixtures basic but verycomfortable bed & tea making facilities fine. For city centre hotel, good sized room. Breakfast which is an additional charge & served nextdoor, was well prepared & varied. I

The Harding Hotel is in a great location. Also, thoughtful amenities, like a fridge, can keep costs down. In a city like Dublin, where standard items and food/drink are comparitively expensive-- this is convenient. Also, the internet was free and reliable. The staff at the front desk were really helpful and very nice. I always felt safe- in the hotel and in the surroundings outside. If you are coming back late from a restaurant or bar in the temple bar vicinity, you don't need to feel uncomfortable or concerned about walking back. You also don't need to pack everything that you will need for the entire day in the morning. There are also a bunch of great bakeries, markets, and restaurants on the steps of the hotel.

Harding Hotel was great ... it met or exceeded every expectation and every need. The lobby was charming and inviting - a very good first impression; my room was more spacious than I had anticipated, and it was comfortable and convenient - couldn't ask for more; the staff were exceptionally good and I really appreciated that; the location was totally perfect for me; the bar downstairs (Darkey Kelly's) was exceptionally good and charming and convenient - a real plus to the hotel's amenities, as was the adjoining bistro. When I booked the hotel, it was an "at random" thing - next time I will book it on purpose. I will have no hesitance in recommending the Hotel to my friends.
