There were 2 couples in our group and our friends got a lovely bright modern room that looked like it had recently been modernised (room 305) on the other hand we got a room that smelled of stale smoke with a broken curtain rail and bed, with old fashioned furnishings (room 304). We couldn't get another room that night due to the hotel being fully booked but they moved us for the second night to a room that was light and fresh but still had the old fashioned decor but it was night and day compared to the first room. All in all I have to say we all had a great time in Dublin and the location of this hotel is perfect but a bit noisy at night due to it's proximity to temple bar but we all slept great. We would return to this hotel but would specify we not to have an ex smoking room and if possible a newly furnished one.

Great location to explore the city. A basic, clean hotel which offers good value for money. Attached bar has live music some nights which was great quality and both adults and teenagers in our party enjoyed. We took breakfast option when we booked but although ok, not the tastiest or great food choice available although it did go on ti 11.30 which was appreciated among the sleepy of us! All in all, good for the price, city break hotel. Great night life/restaurants and shops on your doorstep and short bus ride away from all tourist attractions. We used the open top tourist bus which stops just up the road and loved it. We loved Dublin and will def return!

On arrival at the Dublin Citi Hotel on Monday afternoon, (having just flown in from Malaga, Spain), I was told that my booking had been transferred to Blooms Hotel, Anglesea Street, Temple Bar. Just round thee corner, this hotel suited me perfectly - and my comments above refer to this hotel. Since I had booked by Email, I feel that with a little foresight, the staff at Dublin Citi Hotel could have informed me of the change of Hotel before my arrival in Ireland. For my next visit I would be very happy to stay at Blooms again. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to make these coments
