I tried to change my booking by a week, as the mother of my travling compainion died. The hotel would not do this, a were still going to charge for the room, so I had to come with out my companion, for this reason alone I will not stay in this hotel again and I will be advising others not to stay also. I do realise that hotels are having difficulty in the recession, however it is beyond belief that the booking could not be changed due to an unexpected family death. My friends mother was Mrs. Breada Seymour of Nenagh Co.Tipperary and died on Sunday morning(if ye want to check). The excuse used by the person on the desk was hotel policy.....bollacks......We had the trip planned as a summer treat for our selves and our two sons, as due to economic difficulty this was the only holiday we could affoard this year. Such a pity that my friend missed this because the hotel would not change the date. We both work with the general public and often recommend hotels to tourists...in the case of th

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-nights stay at Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge. It's conveniently close to downtown Dublin (3 different bus lines stop right in front of the hotel) and two bus stops (or a short walk) away from a major supermarket. The metro train also is just a few minutes away from the hotel as well. The hotel is located in an embassy-laden (ritzy!) neighborhood, right next to the Royal Dublin Society center. Service was excellent all around. The hotel was well-insulated and thus quiet. We did not eat breakfast there because it was too expensive, but there is a little convenience mart five minutes away that sells fruit, croissants, rolls, coffee, yoghurt, juices, etc. We would return anytime.

Our stay at the Bewleys Hotel was very pleasant. When we arrived, which was late on Friday evening, we had the opportunity to get food and refreshments. Our room was clean, bright, spacious and comfortable. It was also located in a quiet part of the hotel, which suited us both. The staff were very friendly. On enquiring from Ross who was on Reception on Friday night about entertainment in the area, he went to a lot of trouble and wrote out a list of venues for us to consider attending on Saturday evening. The Hotel had very relaxed atmosphere. We would certainly consider returning in the future.
