I liked its position. It is excellent for shopping areas, city trip andattractions (Temple Bar area). However it is situated far enough fromthese spots so you can get a good rest and feel safe. Our room hadwindows against the street but the noise was almost imperceptible so ,definitely, there was no problem to get a good rest. I liked best thepersonnel who was very kind, supportive and extremely friendly. Theygave us information and directions for how to get to different areas intown and the conversation with them was a charm. They made us feelrelaxed and comfortable - a real sense of hollday. The room was veryclean and all the facilities were working (tv, Wi-Fi, hot/cold wateretc.). The decoration of the room, the lobby, the restaurant and thehotel - generally speaking - were very beautiful. The food was excellentand the service of very high quality. This hotel is a very good valuefor money.
Roy  — 14.11.2011.
it is a traditional style city hotel with a nice comfortably furnished ambience in the bar area much used by guests and locals alike for drink and food. the location of the hotel in the city meant a 5/10 minute walk to the the main shopping streets restaurants and bars and also many of the attractions of the city. indeed you could walk to and across the river liffey onto o connel street and using the hop on/off buses to most of the main tourist attractions very easily. breakfasts in the restaurant were good and the staff were pleasant and efficient. our twin room was large and well furnished it was very clean. the central location in the city meant there were no views but we didnt expect any.
James  — 23.11.2011.
Hotel staff were very helpful with questions about dining, city touring, and being the first Irish citizens we came in contact with. Willing to make our Dublin stay easy and stress free. Great location across Kildare St for the AirCoach stop from airport. Walk to Grafton St in less than 5 mins. Easy access for Hop On Hop Off buses- 3 blocks away. Requested a quiet room- got one on top floor. Enjoyed attached pub in afternoon. Also has food menu and a restaurant. If you are looking for an Irish hotel experience in the center of tourist area, this is the hotel for you.

The hotel is in an excellent location. I was attending a concert in theNational Concert Hall which is directly across the road. The hotel isvery well run and maintained. The bed was fabulous! There is an i-poddocking station in the room as well as a stereo system. I dined in therestaurant before the concert and had the early bird menu which wasquite good value for money.

We liked the Location, The Underground parking was great, and the staff were very helpful. We didnt have dinner as we were eating elsewhere but the breakfast was wonderful. Our bedroom was very comforthable and quiet. A bit disappointed that our TV didnt work and we had to call someone to have a look at it. We will deffinately stay again in the Conrad Hotel Dublin.

I checked in at 9pm, to a not so pleasant receptionest, a smile costsnothing, I gave to hwer my visa debit card for payment in advance, thereceptionest requested my credit card which I do not have, I then had togo to a cash dispensing machine to get €100 deposit cash to give them orI would not be accepted to stay. The machine wasnt in service so Iproceeded further along the street and bought a pittza in order to getcash back. It was 10pm when I finally got back to the hotel.I Had bookeda quiet room but the furnace was located outside the bedroom window andwas noisy, I contacted reception and was told the hotel was full. Resulta sleepless night..

Clean and secure hotel accessible to central Dublin. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet room and confortable bed for good night's sleep before business day; furnished with excellent facilities - wardrobe for hanging clothes, shower/bathroom, kettle to boil water for tea/coffee, BitBuzz Wifi if needed, T.V. and telephone. Very affordable price for someone on reduced income. I have stayed in this hotel various times over the past two years and I would recommend it to everyone. If I ever needed anything, the staff were always eager to help. Travelodge Hotel, Rathmines is my no. 1 hotel of choice in Dublin.
Anonymous  — 23.11.2011.
Handy for Dublin city centre - just a short and cheap bus ride from stops right outside the hotel. Good restaurants and pubs on the doorstep without the high prices in the city centre. The area is more for locals than the main tourist areas. For ease, we checked out with our bags in the morning and left them in a "left luggage" at the main bus station because the bus for the dirport departs from there. Hence saved time and money travelling back to hotel in the evening for bags. Only beucase the hotel is the opposite of the city to the airport.
William  — 4.12.2011.
The hotel is very well placed for town as loads of buses for town stopoutside . and there are lots of nice cafes and eating places just alittle way from the hotel, including a full Irish breakfast for just sixand a half euro insted of seven in the hotel for a lousy continentalfodder. But for all that I would have no problem in Booking again as Ivisit Dublin every month. Also it only takes a minute to get a taxioutside. It costs about twenty two euros to get to the Airport.

The people are fabulous and extremely helpful, the rooms are exquisite, top in everyway, beds, furniture and curtains10/10. The breakfast was 10/10 . Location was perfect, close yet quietand part of true Ireland, staying at this boutique hotel was so superiorto 5 stars.we travel 4 times a year and this will always be one of myfavorite. Thank you jenni(owner) and Dierdre(manager ) and all the otherstaff that served us so happily . Definitely recommend it to all myfriends and family.... Real treat!

Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Tea and coffee were offered to us while we were waiting to check-in and when we came to collect our bags, after having checked-out. Freshly baked cakes, biscuits and coffee were available to all guests in the drawing room, during the afternoons. Our room was huge, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were excellent. Although the hotels is not central, the DART(suburban railway line) station is only about 200 metres from the hotel so you can be in the centre of the city within 10 minutes. Will definitely return when we come back to Dublin.

The hotel is fairly central to the main street in dublin O'ConnelStreet. There was spme confusion about irish and english breakfast'sbeing offered within the room rate. No irish breakfast exists !! so %.65euro is required for breakfat which I have to say is well worth it !!.but having requested info from the booking site I did not recieveconfirmation yes or no to this query till within the 48 hour cancel time!! I did a deal with the hotel and it all ended up smelling of roses!!Room was clean but small and 4 floors up and no lift!! But great for a 1or 2 night stay, staff were helpful and we left with the yes I wouldstay here again feel!! Think I would book late next time to get a greatrate !! close for central dublin and temple bar and good value for money

I wasnt happy at my stay in Maple Hotel, there was a mistake on the roomassignment and I was given a room that has already been assigned tosomeonelse, the staff was very rude barged in my hotel room, I wasembarrassed and invaded my privacy and wasnt even apologetic, its like Iwas told mistake was inevitable so deal with it kinda thing, I raisedthe issue to the manager - martin, he was very action man and apologizedfor the incident, however, damaged has been done, I felt unsecure inthat hotel and I wont recommend and wont come back.

Our party of 6 didn't end up staying at the Maple Hotel as on our arrival the receptionist informed us there was a problem with one of the rooms so they put us in their sister hotel about 5 doors down the road 'The Glen Guest House. The rooms were clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was great and included in the price we paid. Location was ideal for us 10 minute walk to Temple Bar and about 20 minutes walk to Croke Park. We had a great weekend! .'

Me and my 5 girlfriends stayed in Dublin for the weekend to go to the Take That concert. Accomodation was basic and clean. Bathrooms could have done with an upgrade but the bedrooms and sitting rooms were perfect. Found it strange that there were samples of shampoo/soap in the bathrooms but yet there was very little toiletroll. For the price paid and the accomodation was perfect. We cooked dinner and drank in one night and all equipment required was present. We felt like students again

The hotel is situated really not far from the centre - it took us 10-15minutes to walk to Trinity colledge. Tasty breakfast - but may bethat's normal for Ireland - we had breakfast in 5 different places &all were perfect. Very friendly & polite staff - they didn't desagreewhen we decided to move to another hotel after the first night & evengave us a discount.

Centrally located yet not in too noisy or scary part of town. Breakfastsare good- we could either choose a traditional Irish breakfast orcontinental which was better than what you would expect for the latter.Pleasant and accommodating. The shower had great water pressure and gotreally hot. Better than other hotels/B&Bs we've tried lately.

Location ideal in between Baggot Street pubs and Lansdowne Road for the rugby match that we came to Dublin for. Friendly staff. Otherwise just a functional B+B with tired bathrooms. At 150 euros a night, fairly steep, but not out of step with other Dublin prices for this premium weekend.

We were visiting Dublin in July and wanted to be near to the downtown city but away from congestion and noise. The Waterloo offered us a quiet respite amid big city charm in a sweet neighborhood. The room was charming, with fireplace -- that we actually needed in July! -- lovely bathroom, enormous window, and lots of quiet elegance. My teen daughter hit the computer available for guests in the living room, and I was able to read and relax near the fire. Next, the breakfast. It was luscious. Stewed fruit, waffles, french toast, or eggs and toast. Really a lovely spot, a bit worn in spots, but overall a marvelous stay. We took the plunge and rented a car, and drove out to the countryside and easily found our way back to the Waterloo.
Anthony  — 11.1.2012.
The location to the RDS was excellent, a short walk. The Breakfast was really good and filling. The rooms were reasonably sized for a double room. The room was very clean and modern. We were on the 3 floor but there was a lift which helped. There is space for car parking however based on others reviewing this hotel we made sure we were down at the hotel early afternoon to ensure of getting a car parking space as we walked into Dublin town for dinner and then to the RDS for the concert that evening. Walk into Dublin was only at 15 min walk to ST Stevens green The Hotel had 2 newly painted red doors which helped to identify the Hotel from the other houses beside and nearby.
John  — 20.12.2011.
Location close to Aviva stadium and shopping was very convienant as Iwas up for a match while my wife was shopping in nearby Grafton st. Theavailability of off street parking was great as parking close to thestadium on match day is difficult and expensive. The hotel suited us aswe were not looking for the use of facilities such as bar, spa or pooletc, Waterloo House is placed somewhere between a hotel and a b&B.

The staff were very helpful - when we requested help/information. The breakfast was good - either full Irish or continental with fresh fruit salad. Rooms were clean and comfortable. If you get a cheap price for this B&B, and if you want to be in Donnybrook, it is a good choice. Close to bus stop for Air Coach to Dublin Airport. Quite convenient to UCD (we got taxi). Be aware it is basic accommodation. A short stroll away is McCloskey's - nice relaxing pub with bar meals.

For strangers to Dublin, reception was very helpfull. In particularproviding an early breakfast and a road plan to find the way to the portwhich meant some convoluted route from the hotel but was easy to follow.Safe car parking. Easy walking distance of Dublin centre (for us) butalso bus route ran past the door with three bus numbers. Localrestaurants although limited proved good (O'Connels, perticularly).

I have stayed at this hostel several times and with no major issues. This time is was terrible. I had booked a single sex - girls room and I was put in a room that was unmade and hadnt been cleaned yet. I was given another room to check which was fine but later turned out to a mixed room! (When other residents arrived after me). The guy at reception then had the audacity to tell me that I had booked a mixed room - when clearly I had the online booking form with me - to which he dismissed me and continued to act as if he was doing me and favour!! Ridiculous customer service. The other thing I would say is that the hot water in the morning takes some time to kick in and the rooms near the street are very very noisy!

The location was very good and allowed access to the heart of Dublin for shopping and culture. The staff were efficient and friendly. Although a "private double room" was booked, we were allocated a four berth (3 single and 1 double) room, with one wardrobe. Whilst not glamorous, this was clean and tidy. All roome have their own shower room. Cornflakes, bread butter jams and cheese are available along with tea and coffee to make your own continental breakfast (as substantial as you wish). An ideal location to explore Dublin, accessed either by tram, or a short walk to Grafton Street and thereby the historic sites

This was my first stay at a Hostel and I was very impressed about everything! The rooms and linens were very clean! I am from a small city in Canada and I have never experienced such culture, from all over Europe! All the people that were staying at the Hostel were very friendly and wonderful to talk with! There was nothing negative about our stay at Citi Hostel at all!! My 17 year old son and I both loved our stay and would reccomend Citi Hostel to anyone!!

The Maldron Smithfield (Dublin) is a very clean, modern and comfortablehotel in a central location north of the river, away from the noise oflate-night revelling south of the river. It offers an excellent placefor a quiet night's sleep as it does not have a busy public bar ornightclub or restaurant. (There is a bar, but frequented by guests onlyas far as I could see.) So if you want a party hotel, go elsewhere. Ifyou want a comfortable room for the night in a smart hotel, choose thisone. I have stayed twice and will stay again.

Everything promised was provided. The staff were very attentive and therooms were well presented and furnished. The strong and hot shower wasalso very much appreciated after a long day. Was a bit surprised thatwe had to collect the room service ourselves, but the prices were fairand the quality was good. Having an up market Deli/supermarket nextdoor and open until 22:00 was a nice bonus. Will use this hotel againif I am nearby.

The staff in this hotel are what make it so good. Nothing was too muchtrouble for them. The suite I stayed in was clean, comfortable and hadeverything I needed. If I had one negative comment it would be the lackof room service. This hotel operates on a policy of having guestscollect their orders from the restaurant themselves which isn't the mostconvenient. Overall though I had a very pleasant stay.
