The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Just what I expect when I'm in Donegal-friendly people! The hotel in itsellf was great too. The double room was really big, it had large double bed, a single bed, loads of wardrobe and drawer space, table and 2 chairs and there was still loads of room. The swimming pool, jacuzzi etc was lovely and we used it quite a bit over our two night stay, at times we had it to ourselves. Very family friendly hotel and even if you don't have children the hotel is spacious enough that you don't feel kids are on top of you! Would definitely stay again.

Being out of season, this was one of the few 4* hotels open on weekdays in the area. Peaceful and relaxing. Good-sized room, very comfortable beds and excellent bathroom (both a bath and shower). Only the bar-food facility was operating at the time of our visit, but standard was high. Staff could not have been more helpful. Enjoyed breakfast in our room each morning, at modest charge. Hotel is within walking distance of Donegal town, which is delightful, and has excellent parking. Enjoyed wonderful scenic drives, particularly around Lough Eske and along the northern shoreline of Donegal Bay, also the beautiful beach at Rossnowlagh. We certainly hope to go again to this hotel.

We attended a family wedding at Mill Park Hotel and I thought I wouldbook really early to be sure of a booking. Imagine my surprise to find, upon turning up, that there was no record of my booking and ,only I had the print out confirming my booking, I may have been left with no room. The rooms are far too hot and my husband was kept awake by a large boiler outside our window. We had a ground floor room and we had to open the window because of the heat. The beef served at the wedding was tough as old boots but we were warned about that by friends who attended other weddings at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel in general was very nice and well decorated. Please tell the chef to not sweeten the porridge. Our bowl of lovely porridge was ruined by being sweetened by honey. If people want their food sweetened they can add sugar themselves! The breakfast was plentiful and well presented and I would stay there again.

I have stayed in many top quality hotels both in Europe and Ireland, all 5 star, this was the one hotel that far exceeded all my expectations! I only realised later that is 4 star and for the life of me I cannot understand this. The hotel is truly amazing, rooms out of this world and I can't say enough about the quality of the staff employed. The location on the edge is just so beautiful and the Blue Stack mountains surrounding same equally so. If you really feel the need to get away from it all and feel peace and tranquility, this is the place for you. The value for money was excellent and I know I will return again and again. It is a true "find". Best hotel I have ever stayed in in all my 46 years, and I am certainly one when chosing a hotel I want quality and Harvey's Point has all that and more. Sharon Kennedy, Kildare

There is no question that of all the hotels I have ever stayed in thismust be a number one favourite. The ethos of this hotel seems to beperfection and I cannot think of a single aspect of our stay that wouldfail to live up to that expectation. We had booked an executive doubleroom but what we got exceeded all our expectations by far. We were shownto a very large suite which was exquisitely furnished and also had asuperb bathroom with large double shower as well as a family sizedJacuzzi bath. Our baby son did not only have his own cot but also hisown toiletries as well as a little gift toy. The hotel is in a stunninglakeside location near Donegal town and breakfast was served in therestaurant overlooking the lake. The food was of the highest quality andboth the continental and cooked food selection was superb. We werepersonally greeted by the owner who not only remembered the name of ourson but was also kind enough to arrange a late checkout for us so thathe could have his sleep befor

The hotel is right on the Diamond, the central square of Donegal, less than three minutes walk from Donegal Castle. Very nice building with friendly staff. The room was very nice and had a great view of the bay. Good wi-fi connection and free public parking nearby. The pub in the hotel is great! Very good choice of food for breakfast, with cooked stuff and fresh fruit. If you are planning to visit Donegal, this hotel is your best possible choice!

It was ideally situated in the heart of Donegal town. The staff werevery friendly especially the gentleman in the bar who put himself out toget us sandwiches in the afternoon and put the tv on to let us see thehorse racing. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Our room was finewas my uncle's room was exceptional looking over the harbour. We were sopleased for him as this was the first time since his wife's death he hasbeen in Donegal. They always went to Donegal once or twice a year. If wevisit again next year we will certainly book the Central Hotel.
Anne  — 5.12.2011
Stayed for 1 night as we were attending a wedding in another hotel outside. The hotel is fine. It is quite old and perhaps a little dated. The room was a double and also single bed. Absolutely no view - just a wall. Room had a hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. There were some stairs to be negotiated in order to get to our room so please bear that in mind. We were on the first floor. Had a drink in hotel bar which is very nice and very friendly staff. Prices reasonable enough. You can get a drink up until 2 am but after that the night porter wont serve any drinks. Breakfast was fine but finished far too early (10 am) for a bank holiday weekend. In most hotels you can have breakfast up to 11 am at weekends. Yes, would stay again.

We were touring Ireland and enjoyed 3 nights at the Ard na Breatha and we found it to be the perfect location for visiting the beautiful sights of Donegal The night we arrived we had a meal in their restaurant and it was one of the best meals of our holiday. Their breakfasts were excellent and set you up for the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend the Ard na Breatha to friends and family and look forward to visiting again.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish! Very warm welcome from the owner Theresa made to feel at home. Very clean and spacious room with great views of countryside. Lovely breakfast with lots of choices. Lots of homemade/grown and organic produce. Nothing ever a problem. Very friendly staff. The best accommodation of our holiday and we stayed in 4 different places wish we could have stayed longer! Definitely recommend Ard na breatha to anyone and we will definitely be back soon!
Steve  — 23.11.2011
This was the best B&B we have ever stayed at. The dinner has a higher price tag, but is worth every penny and much, much more. Start your dinner with a drink beside the fireplace prior to your meal and proceed to having the best three course meal of your life. The staff were very nice and helpful, the rooms and property perfectly meeting your desires for an Irish countryside B&B and, as a bonus, a beautiful yellow lab named Goldie to be your best friend if you like. I will go back to this B&B and would recommend it to anyone.
