The hotel was very convenient for the city centre - shopping, bars, restaurants etc. Bus stops outside hotel which took me to Blackrock - relatives live there so a bonus as we did not have to get taxis. Also bus stop for airport outside hotel but we did not need to use this. We were a group of 9 visiting Cork for a family wedding and wanted to be near city centre also.

This hotel is good value for money as a budget hotel. It is not a family destination as I found the staff at reception, services and cleaning all extremely rude, unhelpful and uninterested, I felt they were only interested in ticking boxes ie getting customers in and out as quickly as possible. My 3year old son cut his foot on a nail hanging from the base of one of the beds in our room and none of the staff were interested in helping us get any medical assistance. At breakfast and dinner no help fetching highchairs etc will not be back!!
Carmel  — 30.10.2011.
I enjoyed my very short stay at the Radisson blu, was there for a familywedding in nearby Fota Island. The staff were pleasant and helpfulespecially a young waiter, from Glanmire I remember. We had a bit ofbother finding the hotel and he gave us excellent directions for thenext day - a great asset to any business he was friendly and obviouslyenjoyed his work at Radisson. Hotel Needs to be signposted better, otherwise a most enjoyable stay.

Well I had read mixed reviews about the hotel, but as soon as we arrivedthose were washed away. The hotel is fabulous. Lobby is gorgeous. Rooms,we stayed in a suite, it was a complementary upgrade, the room wasunreal. Oversized bed so comfy. Huge telly, bathroom stunning.. Huge twoperson shower, huge bathtub.. Living room was also very nice andcomfortable. All the staff at the hotel were brilliant.. Very friendly, very hard working. The food was 10 out of 10 both breakfast and dinner. The first night we stayed we stayed in the hotel bar and we drankcocktails for the night which were so so nice and very reasonably pricedcompared to other pubs and hotels. I will definately recommend thishotel for anyone whos going to cork for a weekend. And we will bedefinately be back for another weekend.

This is one of the Best hotels in Cork. I have stayed many times in thepast when it was Fitzpatricks and now I have been coming with my familythe last two years, both times staying for four nights. The staff arethe best that you can experience in a hotel and we were looked afterfrom start to finish. We were staying over the Cork Jazz Bank Holidayweekend and although the hotel was full, nothing was too much troublefor the staff. The breakfast is amazing with so much choice and all topquality. I would definately recommend this hotel and we are alreadyplanning to return next year.

I think the staff at the hotel were very fiendly and really nice. Thatmakes a huge difference when you go away. It is always great to feelwelcome and feel as though nothing you ask is too much. To me this makesa hotel visit far nicer. The pool staff were lovelly aswell and we weremade to feel at ease. I dont really have a complaint. We have stayed inmany hotels and one nasty word or nasty look from a member of staff canreally put you off your entire experience but at this hotel it was allgood. Lovelly room too and great shower.nice telly too.

I was very disappointed with my stay at the Hotel. It was a last minutedecision to book the the hotel with no reserch just wanted to get awayfor a week and rest as we are in the hospitality business and need abreak. On arrival despite booking bed and breakfast for the six nightswe were informed that we booked room only , this was then corrected onthe system. Early next morning we were woken twice with a false firealarm going off. When we went to breakfast the resturant managerinformed us we only booked room and not breakfast, when we informed himwe had, he check with reception. As I was eating my breakfast I got along ladies hair in my beans and eggs.I Presented this to receptionafter breakfast without any appology. The lady at reception said shewould inform the resturant manager. That was the last we heard of thematter. For a 4 star hotel we found some of the staff very cold, also nowater was supplied in the rooms. On our third night there we were keptawake until 2.30 am with a weddi
Clodagh  — 29.12.2011.
The staff were absolutely excellent. We were travelling with 2 children, both under 19 months old. The Staff in the lounge area were particularly child-freindly and often offered party bags/crayons etc to distract the oldest baby so that he'd eat. The Hotel wasn't child-friendly, as there was no leisure facilities which we could bring a child to (the Swimming pool was too cold and was only equipped for adults) and the hotel itself didn't being located on a steep hill meant that walks to and from the hotel were scarily uphill & downhill. That said, we enjoyed the food and friendliness of many of the guests and staff and felt it was a value for money hotel.
Alacoque  — 2.12.2011.
The location of the hotel was excellent allowing for visiting otherparts of Cork with ease -Kinsale-Clonakilty-Inchadonnay in addition toshopping and dining out in Cork City. The staff were friendly -professional and well trained including the handling of a complaint dueto guest disturbance in adjoining room. Security was prompt andefficient. The bar and restaurant provided a very good variety of goodfood and wine at affordable prices. The accommodation was of a very highstandard in the rooms occupied.

The hotel is located close to the city centre. The public areas areclean, comfortable and well designed and the leisure facilities areexcellent. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly andefficient throughout our stay and when a slight problem arose in ourroom they were quick to resolve it to our satisfaction. We tookbreakfast in the hotel and were satisfied that it was value formoney. There is an underground car park, part of which is open to thepublic and guests have to pay for parking. I felt that guests should nothave to pay to park in the environs of the hotel.

I can not fault the Clarion Hotel Cork in any way - there is nothing to much that the staff will not and can not do for you in any way. Apart from not making it rain of course. - I moved from another Hotel called the Maldron and it was the Hammer House of Horrors it really was. - I would recommend The Clarion Hotel Cork to everyone looking for a lovely, relaxing, in the City Centre Hotel. It is the one and only place to stay and for Business meetings all know where it is, which is a bonus.

Staff were hospitable and inobtrusive. The proximity to the city centre(10 mins walk) was a boon.. The area was pretty quiet and peaceful atnight, and although the rooms seem rather close, we didn't hear anynoise from others.. The shower was absolutely fine and the beds werevery comfortable. We changed our original booking from 4 to 3 nightsover the internet without any trouble whatsoever and the cost of theaccommodation was paid for only after we arrived.

The apartment itself was finished to a really high standard and I would 100% recommend this place to stay. The staff in the restaurant were lovely and the guy who I presume was the manager of the apartments was a gentleman. Will definitely be going back.

This B&B had a good breakfast with a pretty view of the garden. It was in a quiet location just outside the city center, about a 30 minute easy walk with plenty to see along the way. It was also close to the main highways leading away from Cork. Mini mart gas stations were a 2 minute walk away. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were quite large and comfy. The rooms were clean. Very cute and great deal for the price!!!

This Bed and Breakfast was amazingly clean and welcoming. Vincent, the owner was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent and little touches such as the chocolates in the room made us feel at home. Would definitely recommend this accomodation. It does require a bus, 25 minute walk or taxi trip into Cork city - would suit people driving to the Lodge much better than us as we had made our way from the train station.

The staff were absolutely outstanding in terms of their customerservice, local knowledge and general helpfulness. Kathleen at receptionoffered us lots of advice on restaurants and day trips, and the girlswho ran the breakfast were eternally cheerful and efficient. The location is very close to the town centre, albeit at the top of a very steep hill, so perfect for a city break. The bus station is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, from which you can reach many destinations for trips, We would highly recommend Kinsale for a day by the sea. Facilities were lovely - lots of little extras such as a guest lounge to relax in with tea/coffee/hot chocolate, and a fresh water machine in the lobby. Our room was nicely decorated and comfortable, with plenty of sockets for phone chargers, hair straighteners etc, and there were two conveniently located mirrors. The bathroom was clean and very well presented, with an abundance of fluffy towels and a good strong shower. Breakfast, in our opinion,

It was a lovely comfortable place to stay and in a great setting, near to the train station and near to the centre of the city and yet a few minutes walk away from the hustle and bustle. The girls working there were all extremely helpful and welcoming. The rooms were clean with very nice bathrooms and a particularly nice shower. The guesthouse is on a hill so you have a lovely view of the city. There was a water fountain and a drinks machine in the lobby which is very handy. I thought it was good value for money as it has the comfort of a hotel with a B & B feel in that it is very personal and friendly. The girl at reception (didn't get her name) was very helpful to us as I was running the Cork marathon and could come back after the race and collect my bags and change in our old unchanged room, I appreciate that very much!!
