The Maritime was a lovely comfortable hotel. Travelling with a largefamily the Family Suites were absolutely brilliant. The addition of amini-kitchen and large living space made for a very comfortable staywith the family. As most hotels are not great on space, when you aretravelling with children its nice not to be confined to just a hotelbedroom. The three plasma tv's were a very big hit. The staff were verywelcoming and the hotel very clean. I would recommend The Maritime topeople travelling with kids as the family suites are really lovely.

The Maritime Hotel, Bantry, is right in the centre of Bantry andoverlooks a wonderfully picturesque harbour. On arrival we were met byfriendly Corkonian receptionists who couldn't have been more helpful. Wewere shown our room which was larger than other hotels we've stayed in.The decor was very plush and tasteful. We had a beautiful view over themarina. Breakfast the following day was set in a very friendly diningroom again overlooking the sea. The breakfast was very nice. We wereoffered anything from porridge to pancakes. The drive from Cork toBantry is long but the scenery along the way is breathtaking. It'sdefinitely worth a visit. It's also wheelchair friendly.

Just back from three nights at the Maritime Hotel, West Cork. The hoteloverlooks Bantry Bay and is situated in the small town of Bantry. Webooked a family suite with two bedrooms and a living room. Theaccommodation was clean, affordable, modern and very comfortable. Oursuite had a spectacular view of Bantry Bay and the surroundingmountains. The breakfast was excellent with the usual Irish breakfast onoffer, but you could also order from the al a carte menu which includedpancakes and eggs benedict. The staff are friendly and made our stayvery pleasant. We also spent sometime in the spa which is well equippedwith a good sized swimming pool. Bantry is a good base for travellingnorth and south along the coast. We spent one day at Barley Cove beachnear Crookhaven and another day in Glengarriff.
