Hotel was very nice downstairs but upstairs was like a different hotel, rooms were small and no room service, we couldn't get extra pillows as the hotel was full and had an uncomfortable nites sleep .also we were 2 near the niteclub and could hear the music! Not ideal with kids!
Adrian  — 18.12.2011.
I attended a course that lasted a week and the location of the hotel wasideal. The course venue was just across the road and it made it so easywith no commuting involved. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

The Staff were very efficient and pleasant, the food was excellent, I would have no complaints what so ever, and I will be recommending this hotel to my friends.

Good value guest house. Rod, the manager provided a warm welcome. Good Irish breakfast. Plenty of free parking. Hotel is on the outskirts of Ashbourne Town, the centre of which is a healthy 10-15 minutes walk, or two minutes by car or the frequent bus service. All services available in Ashbourne; recommend Kelly's Bar. Good location for touring Meath and surrounding area, lots to see. Easy access to Dublin, drive or bus; easy access to airport. Rod is a busy man and it is a good idea to 'phone in advance to confirm your arrival time.
Annalisa  — 5.2.2012.
Rod the owner couldn't have been nicer . Room was spotless and spacious. The big surprise was the fridge , microwave, toaster and ware that werein the room. Got to lie in and had breakfast at 10.30am.You really feltthat Rod was catering to your needs not that you were accomodating he'sschedule as I often feel with many b & B's . Definitely give it 12/10.
Grazyna  — 5.1.2012.

Very convenient location and liked the free shuttle bus to & fromairport, bus stop near hotel takes yóu into city for only 1.85 euros.Only downside was cost of internet - havent had to pay to use internetat any other hotel on my trip yet at Dublin Hilton it was 15 or 16 eurosfor an hour - way too dear.
John  — 9.12.2011.

Garry  — 10.12.2011.
It was quiet, comfortable, friendly and professional. I was there on a two day business trip and it fulfilled all my needs except for one. There was no WiFi available in my room. I was told it was "being fixed" at that very moment. The staff were helpful and allowed me to use the direct connection in the reception area for 30 minutes but that was hardly enough for me to do what I needed to do. I appreciate the hotel isnt just a business hotel but my reason for choosing the hotel was because it was close to the airport and to the business I had to conduct and that it advertised free WiFi. I do need to return to Dublin this ytear and would happily stay here if I was guaranteed WiFi!!
Shane  — 22.10.2011.
First class modern hotel in a great location. I travelled with a groupto a conference at the hotel and we were delighted with the facilitiesand free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Food is first class - We ate in thebar in the evening time and had breakfast in the restaurant in themorning. Both meals were excellent. Bedrooms are very nice andsurprisingly spacious with excellent beds - not too soft. Biggestattribute the Skylon has is its staff - My people were working all dayat a conference and I know we were very demanding. Nothing was anytrouble. Staff were attentive and so very friendly.
Ann  — 7.2.2012.
First room, 105, was dirty, stunk of cigarette smoke, curtains had burnholes, table sticky, light bulbs out, dozens of cigarette butts underwindows on ledge! Awful. When I complained at desk they immediatelyupgraded us to an executive room which was clean and pleasant. The frontdesk staff were very accomodating and professional. The breakfast wasgood value for the 10 Euro.Bar food also very good. Location of hotelgreat for Dublin activities. Good value for the money. Pub at hotel alsovery nice, good music.
