We used this hotel as on overnight stop on two occasions. It is in a lovely location. If you are a golfer there is a lovely course across the road. The room was spacious and very clean. Staff were very good, always helpful and polite. We had a bar meal which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our breakfast was great and set us up for the day. I would have liked to have stayed a bit longer and would highly recommend it.

THe hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and the location isvery good for playing golf in the area. Small things like a bigger tvwith more channels would enhance the image of the hotel. I stayed whenthe British Open golf was on and it would have been nice to watch itin my room

It's over 400 years old and so has that sense of history about it, a quaint country side hotel. We took a one night break away from the kids and it had everything we wanted. Relaxed no fuss atmosphere. Food was great and very reasonable.

The manager, Jimmy, was a credit to this hotel. He gave us a very warmwelcome on our arrival. My sister and I stayed for 2 nights. We werevisiting Arklow to attend a friend's funeral so the price and locationwas the main reason we booked this hotel. Jimmy ensured that we weredown in time for breakfast (which was good and freshly cooked to order)so that we wouldn't be late. He also accommodated us for an earlybreakfast on the day we departed as we were getting an early bus to theairport. He also gave us a very warm send-off. The rooms are fairlybasic but are clean and comfortable. We asked for a hairdryer and onewas immediately supplied. The hotel is in a very central location and wefound it to be excellent value for money. Next time we are in Arklow wewill definitely stay here again.

This is not a Hotel and should be classified as a b & B. After havingstayed in the "Royal" Hotel Arklow for the first time in my life tooksome time to check the difference between a b&b and a Hotel. Sinkcracked in Room. No Tea or coffee facilities (a coffee sachet cost 10cent) tv? Wait for this one. The tv in the room is 15" fifteen inch. Mypartner said its like looking at a laptop screen. While the room isfairly big a screen this size is not just a joke it is pathetic. Andinsulting. The only other time I stayed in a hotel anywhere in Europewhere I felt being taken for a complete fool was in "ireland" The soundfrom the Nightclub at night is rather cool (And loud!) as you can makeso much noise in the room no one will hear you doing it. Only an ironmaiden Concert is louder.

Stayed for one night on a business trip. The price was more alined to ab&b than a hotel, and that is how I would describe the hotel a basicclean b&b with old fashioned facilities. Did not eat in the hotel otherthan breakfast with was okay. Value for money yes.

We were very pleased with our accomodation and this was the only stay that had provided soya milk as an alternative to dairy. We were also given tea/coffee on arrival and dairy free options. The accomodation and hospitality was excellent and i would certainly recommend to others.
