Situated in Thira's Thira Town neighborhood, Hotel Kalma is close to Museum of Prehistoric Thira, Archaeological Museum, and Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral. Special requests are subject to availability upon check-in and may incur additional charges. Guests can enjoy the stunning views from the rooms, from the restaurant or by one of the three cliff-side pools. Right on the Caldera is the famous Gold Street which takes its name of course from numerous jewellery stores offering both reasonable and unique pieces. 8 Km away from Thira town for peace and tranquility, yet close enough to town for quick shopping binges and nightlife. The Cafe Bar is open and a delicious American breakfast is served daily. Guests can even find a hydro massage in one of them. They are located in the main building and are tastefully decorated with traditional furniture and the blue and white colourings blend with the landscape creating an idyllic picture.

We absolutely fell in love with the view. it was so worth it!! The viewwas to die for and the location of the hotel was perfect. 5 euro taxi toFira (which is where the major markets and city is) and that wasconvenient because Santorini’s economy is hurting right now and otherareas on the island that are normally great (and cheaper) alternativesto Fira were deserted! Kamari, Perissa, Oia and Imerovigli were amongthe popular areas that were very deserted. so we were happy to be closeto the lively city of Fira! We did rent a car for 2 days which was wellworth the money! The hotel made it reall.

We loved the view of the Aegean Sea, the whole Caldera and the view of the volcano island straight across from the terraced hotel. The hotel dining is mostly outside on a covered terrace with great views of the Aegean, all the ships and ferries and beautiful sunsets. The 3 hotel pools are great with sun loungers all around. We loved our time in Santorini!.

The hotel offers transportation to/from airport and to/from Fira town a few times a day. Hotel staff were very helpful. The room was large but the jacuzz (which I paid extra for) was not working properly. All in all I was very happy with the hotel.
