Loucas hotel is very centrally located, right by the restaurantsnightlife shopping (of Fira), perfect for a short stay as you are rightin the centre and therefore you do not want to waste time travellingaround. Amazing view, really worth the comfort and money when you canenjoy the view any time of the day at your doorstep. The only downsideis that because you are in the centre it is noisier of course, withneigbouring bars but this is Ok if you are out in the evenings anyway.Amazing view, good pool, great friendly helpful staff, cute set up ofhotel, on the steps of the caldera. For likely travellers the hotel isset up in different stages so there are stairs, ie. Pool is under therestaurant, reception up the top where the bar is. Although its a littletiring going up and down the stairs, this is inevitable as it is on thecaldera and actually its what you want to be in the middle of it, and Ifeel it actually adds to the charm of the hotel. Staff were great helpedyou take luggage to the ce

We loved the view from our room on Santorini, Thira. We were in themiddle of the caldera with magnificent views on both sides. The buffetbreakfast was reasonable and the breakfast room was very pleasantoverlooking the sea.We are over sixty and we were worried about all thesteps but it was no problem at all.The hotel is in the hub of everythingand ideal for shopping, the cable car, walking along the crater´s edgeand visiting the town as a whole and the bus station is five minutesaway so it is convenient for taking the bus to Oia one of the mostbeautiful villages on the island. One word of warning. When we firstarrived we were given a family room but it was right beneath adiscoteque which closes about 4 o´clock in the morning so we asked to bemoved to room 15 further down which was smaller but as we are a marriedcouple it was perfect and there was no noise. If you want some peace andquiet book a room on the lower level. We enjoyed our stay very much andthe staff were very friendly and obli

Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful. Jeremy, born and raised in Boston, was especially responsive to our desire to enjoy the island in a less traditional way and recommended eateries and treats that were fabulous. Sophia was equally gracious, professional and knowledgeable. A delight. And yes, the lower rooms involve many more stairs, but that is Santorini! We (mother and daughter) left the windows open at night to feel the night air and felt very safe.
