Seriously, you’ll save alot money by staying this hotel, the location is fantastic, very close to city center of Chania, there’re plenty of restaurants close by( I would say next door), the food was really good but a little expensive to me, range from ( 9 - 20 euro, plus drinks probably around $25 euros per person). it’s very relaxed, and also for the young people, there’re bars and small clubs close by as well, the hotel staff was very friendly, she speaks english very well.

Wonderful place with a special atmosphere. We visited this hotel at 16-17 of May, 2011. The hotel is a part of Venetian centre of Chania, so early in themorning we could see empty sleeping town. And I’d like to thank againhotel manager mister George who helped us to organise visit to AgiaTriada monastery.

The Doge is a charming and informal hotel. Breakfast is served at a little row of tables in the cobbled street that the hotel opens on to, and it is a delight to sit and watch the other shops and trades slowly waking up and opening around you on the street in the morning.

You were made to feel so very welcome by the hotel owner. You could tell that she was passionate about her hotel, her Old Town and her City, she just made it so special. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her. Although this hotel was in the heart of the Old Town, it was a wonderfully peaceful place to reside.

The hotel is located in the most lovely place of Chania, near the Venetian port in a narrow beautiful Venetian street without shops or bars, just a small café opposite to the hotel to take your breakfast. Everything is just perfect. The lady who runs the house herself is very kind and helpful. Top recommendation!.

The rooms at Ifigenia were amazing and the hotel’s location in Old TownHania was perfect. We chose Frida as we were looking for a hotel that had a lovely peacefullocation, with a great view of the sea, but was still within walkingdistance of Chania Town, and for this it was absolutely perfect. It wasalso just a 20 / 25 minute stroll cross country to the lovely GoldenBeach (which we found to be much nicer and less crowded than Nea Chora)so really couldn’t have been more ideal. We really enjoyed walking in to the Old Town every night (which is a magical and very special place), but would say that it is more like 2 miles away taking about 25 minutes, so may not be ideal for those less.

Loads of good quality tavernas along the front and a couple of mini-markets - one next door and one about 100yds away. a bar right next doorto the hotel - great!!!! The Manager/Owner (not sure which) was veryhelpful and always pleasant and friendly and the other staff were great- nothing too much trouble and clean linen every other day. I woulddefinately stay here again and recommend i.

Nice contact to very frendly owners of the hotel. There is a little supermarket close to the hotel which is open even on weekends and late at night which is vey comfortable.

The room was clean, comfortable, compact and situated in the midst of the old city, great for strolling, eating, shopping and sightseeing. The hotel staff were very gracious and went out of their way to be attentive.
