This hotel looks slightly run down from the outside, but its actuallyvery beautiful, clean and luxurious. They also have free pool and spafacilities, just make sure you go between 4pm and 8pm or you can't getin. You get some kind of red chip that lets you into the pool somehowbut I couldn't figure it out and gave up. My room was beautiful andluxurious though so I can't complain. The staff was all very kind andalthough they spoke quite limited English we were able to communicate.If you speak German this isn't a problem. I rented a bicycle from them(they have lots) and went to the nearby Ivenack Nature Park within easycycling distance and saw the largest and oldest oak trees in all ofGermany. All in all - a great place to relax and get out into nature.

The best thing about this hotel was the value for the money. The rooms were spacious and had a modern bathroom with shower. The staff was helpful and spoke just enough English to communicate necessities. The adjacent restaurant was a surprise bonus. The food was excellent and I especially liked the low fat menu options and would recommend the Haiwain chicken. It would come with delicious swirl fried potatoes or you could get noodles instead for lower fat content.
