The hotel was a beautiful old building with tastefully added modern areas situated in a pretty village. It was wonderfully quiet and had stunning views across the Mosel river especially from the riverside terrace. The breakfast was excellent as was the one evening meal we had while we were there. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and well kept.

Location was excellent, wonderful views over the Moselle river. The hotel itself was lovely, beautiful rooms, very clean. The food in the hotel was outstanding and the wine was fantastic. The staff were first class, very friendly, very helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel and if ever in this part of Germany again I won't hesitate to stay here.

The folks that run the Halfenstube are wonderful, caring people whocannot do enough to ensure your time there is relaxing, comfortable,and trouble free. The rooms, the meals, the hospitality, the setting... nothing but all perfect. Close to so many things to do, ridingbikes along the Mosel, visiting the Castle at Cochem, walking in thevinyards, etc, etc.

It was located in a quiet, scenic, small German town along a river inwine country. The rooms are above a restaurant filled with locals andserving excellent and well priced food. The room itself, a small suite,was comfortable with a couch and tv, a strong hot shower, and downblankets and pillows on the bed. Wine tasting rooms abound and there's anice footpath on the riverside.

Alles war perfekt ! Echt and gemuetlich.... all the family were genuinely concerned to make the stay comfortable and personal - it was really nice to meet the various generations of Lenartz Beth at breakfast , in the Keller and at saturdays Abendessen which was ganz lecker ! Breakfast was a treat- delicious marmalades. Rooms are very well appointed and comfortable and we had a 'living area' with quiet balcony. The Mesenich street wine festival was on during the stay which was added bonus -lively and locals were all welcoming.

The rooms were comfortable, spacious and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were really lovely. It was a family run hotel come vineyard and all the members were involved, making sure that your stay was perfect and suggesting places to visit in the area.On Saturday night the owners hosted a meal of delicious traditional German food and wine from their vineyard. The 3 course meal was only 12 euros per head plus a delicious bottle of riesling for 4.50. They also provided their own grape juice for the non-drinkers in our party. The breakfast every morning was wonderful and we would definitely stay here again.N.B. It is better to take cash to pay for the room and everything else really as there is no facility for credit cards. One of the family mebers speaks english so dont be put off if you dont speak German!
