Superb building with a fantastic hostess. Wonderfully comfortable roomswhere attention to detail is perfection. Breakfast room is somethingquite special. The location is the centre of the village is beautifullas the hotel is a wonderfully renovated timber building, surrounded bythe same styles that have ch\naged little in hundereds of years. Lots avery good restaurants around the area, particularly the one below thehotel. Recommended if you love atmospheric hotels.

Large room and good bed. Service is simple but efficiently satisfactory.Hotel is small but comfortable with ample of soft drinks and some fruitsfree of charge. The restaurant below serves very good food at reasonableprice. The town is small and compact, easy to cover within a good walkafter the meal. The owner was kind and gave plenty of information aboutthe locality and its surroundings, in English. We requested for an ironand ironing board and were promptly provided.

This hotel is more like a bed and breakfast establishment and none theworse for that! It does not have a bar or restaurant for dinner but thestreet level portion of the building is a very good restaurant, highlyrecommended, run by a different family business. The premises are rightin the centre of Schotten in one of the many historic buildings, some ofthem very old indeed. However, inside the hotel the rooms are modern,fresh, clean and very attractive. Frau Wegner, the owner, has takengreat care and paid attention to detail. There were fresh flowers andfruit in our room when we arrived, some sweets and a potted houseplant.It felt like home and had free wi-fi. Plenty of room and a good sizedbathroom too with a clothes line to stretch over the bath if needed. Weasked for an iron and were given one and an ironing table immediately.Frau Wegner is very friendly and helpful and a kind hostess. Thebreakfast is a buffet and has a good selection of cold items and freshlyboiled eggs. Once again
