Actually I spent only a short night at hotel due to flight delay, but everything was just great from a very helpful man at reception at 4 AM to a cleanliness of room and bathroom. And they gave me 2 more hours to rest in the morning (checking-out at 12 instead of 10) and made me a shuttle transfer to airport where I was picking-up a car. So everything was fine.

Staff was very nice, especially that drove us to train station to catch a train. They explained us how to get to the center with the maps and the sell tickets for public transport. They have a shuttell bus to drive to the airport. We were really suprised for this price. I recommend this hotel, when somebody have flight from SXL.

The hotel is situated quite close to the airport and the train station, which is very comfortable if you have a short time visit to Berlin, as we had. You will hardly find another hotel of this price so close to the airport.

Perfect location when you are traveling out of or in to Schönefeld-Brandenburg Airport. Only a few minuttes walk from the trainstation and to the present arrivals/departure building at the airport. In about one year the new building will open further away from the hotel, but there hopefully will be shuttles to and from the new airport facilities. The InterCity Hotel is very good - only a year old. Excelent rooms with comfortable beds, good aircondition and nice bathroom. Even though the hotel is close to a fairly heavy trafficed road, the sound isolation is very good. Service in both reception and bar/restaurant is excellent.

This hotel is brand new, and every hotel room is very luxuriousdesigned. Although this hotel is located next to an airport, the roomsare absolutely quiet. You will have no noise at all! The rooms are cleanand comfortable. The dinner and breakfast are super, typically German(which is good!). The prices for dinner are below 20 Euro for a perfectdinner. Staff is also helpfull and professional. During you stay, youwill receive a Free City Ticket, where you can travel with through thewhole city of Berlin for free!!! This hotel could be an example to manyother hotels. Highly recommended.

The hotel was easy walking distance from the terminal and from the train station to get into Berlin the next morning. Check in was very efficient. Room was very modern, clean, spacious and comfortable. No night time noise despite close proximity to the airport. Overall very impressed with the standard and value of this hotel.

We stayed in Pension Schwalbenweg purely due to its location being closeto the airport, as we had a flight at 4am in the morning. It is walkingdistance to the airport, it took us approximately 15-20minutes with bigbackpacks. We are a young couple who have been travelling for six weeks,we have stayed in all sorts of accomadation during our travels and thiswas the last stop. The hotel was easy to find from the train station asit had 'Pension Hotel' signs up. However this is only if you come outthe correct side of the station. We initially went the wrong way and hadto ask for directions. Receptionist helpful and was given our keys toour room. Reception closes at 9pm and reopens in the morning. There is akey box to put your keys in if you check out early, like we did at 4am.

Location is ok if you need to catch an early flight or arrive late atnight, only one S-Bahn station from the airport station. However, youstill need to walk about 7-8 mins from the hotel to the S-Bahn station.

I made a reservation only because of indoor pool and sauna promised in the advertising. It was a big surprise for me when I discovered that there is no pool in the hotel at all! Moreover, I had additionally pay for visiting sauna since my "rate" didn't include using sauna. I haven't seen it in my booking confirmation! So that, the main reasons why I choose this hotel failed and it's very disappoining. Moreover on the free shattle stop there is a special sign : "if ou need a shuttle please comtact us at telefone of the hotel". So that I had to spend money for the additional call to the hotel.

We were picked up by the courtesy bus and taken to the hotel. Was very cold outside, but the hotel was a very welcoe sight. Went for a drink in the bar, where we enjoyed a beer and some free nuts. Friendly staff, good room, delighted we picked to stay here. We thought it was so nice that we would happily spend a few days if we didn't want to go anywhere else. Not a lot to do outside of the hotel, but hotel itself is very good.

We just stayed for one night on route to Berlin city as we had a late evening flight.We also enjoyed a few drinks in the bar.We used the shuttle bus service from the airport to hotel and from hotel to train station the following morning.The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.The room was very comfortable and clean.Over all this is a nice hotel .

A comfortable and I imagine a very warm place to stay in winter - wewere fortunate there was a portable fan for the bedroom as we werestaying in summer - but we did have lovely mild weather. The place hadall mod cons and all served their purpose well. It's location wasfabulous; literally around the corner from Checkpoint Charlie and therewas dozens of eateries within a minutes walk, along with a couple ofsupermarkets, shopping strip etc., It was great for the four of us,though the floors are floorboards and with little children runningaround we were constantly telling them to keep quiet due to the fact ofthe floors. Would stay there again.

The apartment was in one of the best locations possible...CheckpointCharlie was literally right around the corner and there were at least 3U-bahn stops within 5 minutes' walking distance. The apartment was alsowithin walking distance of many historic sights in the former East.Apartment was big and residents quiet...street noise was a bit loud attimes. Beds were comfortable and kitchen fully equipped. Rooms wereclean and garage was fully secure and convenient. There were even twogrocery stores within a one block radius, several bakeries and manyeating establishments.

Very central location close to the subway, historical attractions,museums, etc. Grocery store or market only a few blocks away in additionto restaurants. The building was clean and quiet. The one bedroomapartment was very large with full kitchen and even a clothes washer. Atall times I felt comfortable and safe.

Fantastic location! Two great cinemas, theatre, bars and restaurants literally on your doorstep. There was also a massive park within 10 mins walk, ideal for our dog and also a courtyard outside apartment for quick trips! Brandenburg gates only 15 mins walk away. Owner really helpful and personally assisted with parking the car and taking us to apartment. Clean and modern with all the accessories you could need (towels, hairdrier etc.). Would thoroughly recommend. Compact apartment, I would say too small for 4 adults, but ideal for us two and a dog. Would stay again.

Great apartment, great location. Near shopping mall, trainstation and subway. Also a 10 minute walk to the Branderburger Tor. Owner was very helpfull. Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again the next time I'll visit Berlin.

First I want to say don't be hesitant with Booking.Com, it works very well, I was hesitant, but they did all the paper work in a professional manner, and it went without a hitch. For your money you get very good value at John F..I stayed 17 nights with my wife at John F. The rooms are immaculate, comfortable, and well thought out, especially if you are older, i.e. mirrors close to the face. The room is big. The bathroom is nice size with big walk in shower, no tub. I knew we would be getting double beds on a queen frame which is a German standard, so my wife and I found it hard to cuddle when we slept. The mattress itself is firm, pillows not as comfortable but passable, I did not ask the staff for others. I asked to stay in a quiet area of the hotel and the hotel granted my request. The room has a very comfortable padded bench to sit on as well as a rocking chair. They have a very easy to use and effective thermostat whether you want hot or cold air. I loved the location of the hotel, which cannot be more ideal. We were minutes away from very good restaurants and some great shopping. Museum Island and Humboldt University were 5 minutes away, which made it very easy to wake up in the mornings, have breakfast, and depart at a leisurely pace to do some museum visiting. The hotel itself is lovely, very modern, and the rooms were beautifully furnished. We stayed in the International Room which looks quite different from the other rooms, and loved the very large fridge that was at our disposal, as well as the nice, large bathroom. Right behind the hotel is a great cafe called CHIPPS which is where I would recommend everyone to go for breakfast- an 85g bowl of muesli with milk or yogurt costs only 3 euros, which is a lot cheaper than the breakfast offered at the hotel. I will definitely be staying at Arcotel again when I'm next in Berlin, and strongly recommend this hotel to everyone.

It seems like a perfect hotel for the weekend break in Berlin. Greatlocation - in the middle of Mitte, close to Gendarmenplatz andMuseuminsel and yet on the quiet street. If your room will be facing thestreet like our did - you'll get the view on the nearby church, BerlinerDom and TV-tower. We liked the design of the hotel itself and the rooms.Rooms have big windows and light colored - so you get a lot of light induring the day. Also there is lots of light sources in the room and evensome lightning behind the bed for the romantic atmosphere. There is ared light in the bathroom - we didn't get the purpose of it, but it'sfunny. And rocking chair in the room - really rocks :)

My first 3 nights in Berlin, coming for the Photography Festival in town. As me and my friend are both designers, the look and feel of the hotel was very important to us, and the hotel proved to be even better than the photos. The design was clean but warm, attention given to smallest details (shampoo and soap bottles from corn, with bamboo and lemongrass scent, even beautifully designed corridors..), the staff was friendly, warm and always helpful, the U-Bahn station right across the road. Even though the room was quite small, we spent all time outside and were very happy to come back every night. Sweet and cozy hotel.

The decor of the hotel and room were very modern and are more of a boutique hotel vibe. My room had a great view provided by two walls of windows and balconies. The bathroom was large and had a great tub. The living room area was comfortable and inviting while still being functional. Walking distance to local attractions and sites with nice local restaurants. A couple blocks away you can find a good bakery and kiosk shop to buy snacks and drinks where the guy working there speaks excellent english.

This is a beautifully designed hotel with even the standard room (which we stayed in) receiving attention to details. The beds were really comfortable and the room, although overlooking the very busy street, was soundproof. The surrounding area, although not vibrant in terms of restaurants, is centrally located to the tourist area for visiting Berlin and also the Uban and bus stop is right outside and very easy to use. Staff extremely courteous and helpful.
