The location was excellent, we took a lovely stroll along the lake in front of the hotel. We could walk to shops and restaurants. The bar is luxurious with stunning views. A great place to have afternoon tea or drinks and watch the lake. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Beautiful location with a panoramic lakeview from the room and balcony(spending the extra for a room with a view is well worth the money) -splendid breakfast served in the loveliest old fashioned varm andstylish restaurant - great food - cosy and lovely atmosphere all overthe hotel, and a very friendly staff.

Very nice and large Bavarian-style Hotel. The location directly at the Tegernsee is amazing. You can take a ship tour on the lake right from the hotel. Even though it is close to the center of the small village of Rottach, it is located in a very quiet area. I am sorry that we could just spend one night, so I couldn't check out the wellness-area. We'll definitely come back!

Very nice and large Bavarian-style Hotel. The location directly at the Tegernsee is amazing. You can take a ship tour on the lake right from the hotel. - 1 .Breakfast is excellent 2.we made a reservation fro 3 nights but happened to have an urgent check out at 10 pm of the last night, the hotel only charged us for 2 nights stay which means they allowed us for late check out at 10 pm! without our request. we found this is very impressive and we will definitely go back

perfect, it has 5***** and in fact they should have an extra + to them. All things where as they should or could be, and even better! Restaurants, spa and pool (25 m+). All four(!) restaurants and the breakfast too, are great. Next to that, personnel and the staff, act like real people and not like living statues in a 'Heimat' uniform. They are always friendly, give personal attention and ready to assist, if you need them. Next to being a great and splendid hotel, the surroundings are also ideal; you have a great view on the Tegernsee. The centre of Munich, the castles of Ludwig II (Neuschwanstein, Linderhoff, Herren Chiemsee) are all within a reasonable distance. The village itself is also nice and has all the shops your wife can think off

The family that owns this hotel is wonderful. Our car broke down onarrival so we were essentially stranded. Ivo and his wife arranged forus to have pizza from a nearby pizzeria for dinner the night wearrived, arranged for taxi service all weekend long, and even loaned ussome cash when we had no way to get to an atm. They made us feel likewe were staying with family. It is the best service we've ever receivedfrom a hotel. It was a wonderful experience. The hotel itself is in abeautiful location and the room was plenty big for our family of fourand very comfortable. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyonevisiting the area.

Simple hotel, without any unnecessary extras, the cost for the rooms are adequate to what you get. Good breakfast for 3* and in general very solid 3*

The location on the side of a very steep valley is superb, if arranged in advance you will be picked up by car free of charge from the nearby train station (Hornberg), which is approx half a km away. This family run hotel makes an excellent base for exploring the Black Forest area which can be done for free if you take advantage of the travelling scheme. I would say it is better to use a car but if you wish to use the train make sure you take the stepped walk down the side of the valley, it is only 0.4km - straight down! Take a camera as you will wish to snap lot's of photo's. The hotel staff were very polite and friendly and do speak English and are very helpful in providing advice about places to see and travel arrangements for getting there. The room I used was very clean, the shower very powerful (great after a long day's hiking), and the view (again) superb. I would stay here again.

The location is great for visiting Munich, Salzburg, Innsbruck, andItaly. We came here directly after visiting the Castle Neuschwanstein.
