This is our second visit to Weingut Stahl in the past three years and again it was a highlight of our trip. The owner, Paul, is exceptionally welcoming and efficient. He invited us to enjoy a wonderful wine tasting in the family wine cellar which dates back over a hundred years. The food in the restaurant includes a wide variety of German local specialties and they also have menus available in English for travelers who do not speak German. Local residents flock to the restaurant for a glass of wine or beer and a friendly meal. Krista is the queen of the breakfast room. She provides a huge selection of meats, cheeses, cereals and freshly cooked eggs. She provides local insight into places to visit with a cheery smile. Fresh fruit from the family's trees is turned into the best jams and jellies. Rooms are spotless with comfortable beds. A great value for a hotel in the area of Oberwesel and the middle Rhine.

We stayed for 4 nights in June 2011. The Gasthaus is about 2km outsideOberwesel up a steep hill but is set in a lovely village above theRhine. Our room was very comfortable with a small sitting area and abalcony. Dinner was excellent but the breakfasts were even better, somuch variety from stawberies to smoked salmon, the usual cooked meatsand cheese ending with freshly made cheesecake or croissant. We bought awalking map from the hotel and enjoyed walking to the next villages onthe Rhine direct from the Hotel. The family also have vineyards and wehad the opportunity to taste their fine riesling wines in the cellar, anopportunity not to be missed. I would highly recomend this hotel

This hotel is a jewel in the hills above the town of Oberwesel on the Rhein.It is a family run hotel that has excellent food and great wines made onsite. You are greeted by family members and served dinner by them and their staff in a very friendly way. the meals are excellent and can be taken in their large dining area or on the outside patio. Breakfast is typical continental only with a larger selection and special dishes brought to your table to sample and even have waffles made to your order with a variety of fresh toppings. The rooms are large and well furnished with balconies on some that have a view of the surrounding farms and hills. And it is very quiet. You can even go to the cherry trees in the garden and pick your own to snack on. A truly lovely hotel!

very nice hotel, run by a kind family . Simple but good, beautiful vieuw from dining room where they serve good meals and nice wine for a fair price !! Just now they will start some renovations to make things even better< I will recoment this place absolutely!!!

The facilities were beautiful, the view from the large comfortable roomwas incredible. Very close to all we wanted to see on the Rhine, yetquiet and off the beaten track. A true diamond of a find. We willdefinitely go back to this hotel.

This is a new hotel of modern design in the very centre of the smalltown of Oberwesel. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Agood selection of food at breakfast, and the hotel has a restaurant, butwe did not use it. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is a very modern hotel with excellent facilities and gorgeousdesign features including modern art on the walls, illuminated roomnumbers outside each room and the water comes out of the top of the tapin the washhand basin?? It has free Wifi downstairs and a good bar forthe evenings. Breakfast was plentiful and the location is right on themain street. All good.

The hotel is in an excellent location in Wiesbaden. The staff wasextremely helpful but are not available in the late evening. Thebreakfast buffet was included in the price and quite varied with specialofferings every day. It does not have American food but is a wonderfulcollection of European goodies. Bus service was very close. Our room wasquite spacious. We would stay there again. If one wants convenience anddo not mind a dated hotel room, this is a good hotel.

My fiance and I really enjoyed the location and ambiance of this hotel. We were able to explore downtown Wiesbaden with most things being in walking distance. The staff was very friendly and made us feel as if we were coming home every night. Overall, our stay was pleasant and would happily stay again.

The hotel location allows for an easy walk to the old town and touringof historical sites in Wiesbaden. Bus transportation is available andclose to the hotel. The rooms were comfortable considering the expenseof Europe these days. The breakfast was very good and ample selections.
