Good spacious room, functional, nice breakfast. Good location, close to the highway and a big city (Hamburg) and a good stop for a trip to Scandinavia (night boat from Kiel).

Friendly, welcoming staff and clean good size rooms. Free wifi also a bonus. The noise from the planes was no problem, the room seemed well sound proofed, might be different in the summer if you have to have a window open though. For the price definately no complaints.

Breakfast was amazing! Huge variety of very good food, and all included. And on Sundays, breakfast lasted until 1pm- very civilised. Rooms immaculately clean and comfortable, great water pressure so a fabulous shower. Staff charming and helpful. Very pretty garden to sit in and enjoy the sun (and lovely dog). Nespresso in the room, car parking.... really great hotel

Staff were extremely accomodating - we were able to check-in as wearrived, even though we arrived 3hrs before the documented check-in timeof 3pm. Check-out time was also very generous (Noon). We booked a smalldouble room (as this was all that was left) - It was actually morespacious than majority of rooms i've stayed in previously!Rooms werewell furnished, clean and quiet.

Friendly helpful staff. Excellent facilities with thoughtful touches like an umbrella in the room. Superb breakfast every day that the locals obviously enjoy too. Good location for us in car but some way from Hamburg centre. Airport is close but no noise from planes. On major X-road but good glazing so no problem.

We were happy with what the hotel had to offer, but were very impressed with all the staff when my 89 year-old mother fell ill. They could not have been more caring and helpful. The receptionist (it was a Sunday) stayed on into the evening, long after she should have been off duty, made sure the doctor came, then waited for the ambulance to come and take my mother to hospital. She did everything she could to help. The hotel itself is pleasant, clean, and comfortable, and provides a wonderful selection of hot and cold buffet food for breakfast. The rooms have a telephone and cable TV, and fresh linen and towels are always available. Our room was upstairs at the front, which meant that we had alot of traffic noise if the windows were open. As it rained for several days of our stay, the traffic noise was amplified by the wet road, but the windows are double-glazed and cut out the sound when closed. We would most definitely stay here again, and recommend it highly.

Have stayed here on buisness and found the hotel very friendly and clean, so decided it was an ideal place for a leisure break to explore Hamburg due to its close proximity to the U Bahn. Would highly recommend.

Very comfortable hotel, located very close to U-Bahn station, approx 30 minutes to central Hamburg. Also, located very close to airport. Take this into consideration if flying - traffic can be very bad at times in Hamburg on certain routes. Hotel is located in the suburb of Norderstedt, but there are some nice walkways/cycleways nearby, and the hotel does rent bicycles to guests for free. Despite suburban location, hotel is nice and quiet, though expect some aircraft noise due to proximity to airport. Excellent, friendly service. Very good continental breakfast. Hotel doesn't have a dinner service, but will provide information on nearby restaurants, of which I can definitely recommend "Restaurant Ionios", which is about 5/10 minutes walk away.

Friendly staff. Clean, simple, uncluttered, spacious rooms. Great breakfast. Good location for families (opposite the Hamburg fun fair). Easy to reach via underground. City centre within 10-15 minute walk. We were able to stay in the rooms until 5pm on Sunday (which was fantastic as our flight home was 7pm in the evening).

Ideal location for the type of trip I had organised, roughly mid waybetween night life and city centre,and all walking distance. I found therooms very comfortable and clean, and the staff very helpful, polite andfriendly. As one of a party of eight these are my views but I gotnothing but praise from the rest of the group for the choice of hotelwho all made similar remarks to myself and everybody believed that wegot excellent value for money and the hotel significantly contributed toa very successful weekend away. The facilities that we used I.e thesauna, steam room and sun beds were again very clean and tidy and wellmaintained.

The hotel located in a nice neighborhood, about 30-40 minutes walk from the center of the city, with many restaurant and places to see close by.the hotel is small, clear and quiet, which is all I expected for a short stay in Hamburg.I recommend.

Located 100m from the u3 metro line, which runs in a large loop aroundthe centre of the city. This means you can get to all the mainattractions really easily from Smolka. The hotel itself is clean andcomfortable, the staff are friendly and the bar has a good selection ofmalt whiskeys.
