Traditional family run hotel with all the advantages this could imply:warm atmosphere, very clean, staff extremely friendly, English spoken, very good breakfast… It is hard to choose among its advantages, but oneof the most important for traveler could be its location: hotel iswithin walking distance from city center and main train station. Maintrain station (300m/1000ft distance) hosts direct train lines (every 10-20 minutes) and also dedicated bus lines to the airport. Free Wi-Fi. There is public parking next to the hotel. For those who need elevator, it should be noted that the hotel does not have one.

We chose the Hotel Eder as this was our first time in Munich and wewanted to be within walking distance of shops, Christmas Markets andstation. Hotel Eder was all of these. The staff were great, veryfriendly and helped us decide where to go one day (Saltzburg - just atwo-hour direct train, costing €11 return). Although they had no bar orevening meals, the hotel is surrounded by many places to eat. The onlyone (small) negative was the matresses on the beds were a little on thehard side - but just personal preference). Will definately stay againwhen in Munich.

Very charming hotel - inside and outside! (Pictures on booking don'tdo the hotel justice) My husband and I would love to stay for aromantic weekend - the creaking wooden floors, candlelight ambiance, cozy breakfast room, outdoor patio was thoughtfully, bavarian country-style. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small forfour people (2 adults, 2 kids, 7 and 14), but if you just need a placea rest and shower, this is it! The ambiance was worth the smallsize... Transportation for buses/underground is only a very shortdistance from hotel.
