Nice and clean room with excellent beds in quiet woodland area close to Wittenberg (10 minutes by car). On arrival we asked for a supper and got a delicious meal, served at the hearth. We recommend in particular the soup Soljanka!

The location is idyllic, if you want to get away from cities and the typical tourist scene. The food was truly excellent -- the best we've had in Germany so far. This is truly a German country hotel. Domestic holiday-makers were the exclusive clientele. Few foreigners (one auto with Dutch license plates) and no English-speakers. Very jolly, very relaxed.

It was cold as Ice inside and you would prefer to sleep in the streetthan staying in the hotel! If you want to get warm do not botheryourself to ask from the reception because technically there is nothingthey can do to fix the rads. Just stay in the bath tub for as long asyou want to be warm. Else please remember that there is technically no-one in the hotel at the reception after 8 pm till 8 am. Late check-inhas no meaning in this hotel

Good value, good breakfast, good location, perfectly adequate. Let meleave my luggage while I went sightseeing (though left it in a publicplace - no good for valuables.)

Extremely helpful and polite hotel staff: we arrived very late (halfpast midnight) and the receptionist of the small hotel was still waitingfor us; the hotel is located within walking distance from the citycentre; the hotel is easy to reach by car and has a large parking lot;

Very clean, basic hotel. Excellent value for the money. A great locationfor walking to all of the historic sites. Althought the restaurant menuis limited the food was excellent and beautifully presented. Thebreakfast was ample and delicious. The towel warmer was especiallyappreciated after a day out in the cold.

Conveniently located in the centre of the old town. Short bus-ride from the railway station to the door of the hotel. Reasonably priced, simple accommodation. Clean, comfortable, modern furnishings and bathroom, good breakfast. Friendly staff. I would definitely recommend it and I hope to stay there again next year.

This was a delightful small hotel, quietly located within a few metresof the historic centre of Wittenberg. The nucleus of the hotel is asmall restaurant, which provided a very good menu even in the middle ofthe afternoon. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast there to our greatsatisfaction. The hotel building is traditional. The bedroom had beenextensively modernised with air conditioning, windows that opened, and alovely ensuite bathroom with natural lighting. Car parking was availableat the side of the hotel. The name of the hotel derives from a park witha lake, located a short walk away.

Hotel Alte Canzley was directly across from the Castle Church which wasthe purpose of our visit. It was comfortable, charming, well-taken careof and the staff was very helpful. I would love to come back!

The room was extremely spacious. The best part was being able to lookout the window and see the famous Theses Doors across the street. Thelocation was ideal for visiting the Castle Church, which was the purposeof our stay.

Our room was directly opposite the church where Martin Luther nailed his95 theses, so if you are a fan of Luther, this is the place to stay,very inspiring! The room was very clean and well equipped. It even had alittle kitchen with tea/coffee facilities, which we didn't expect. Also,the room was huge! The staff were very friendly and helpful but hardlyspoke English. Breakfast was excellent and very well presented. Greatcoffee! The hotel is located at the start/end of the main street ofLutherstadt Wittenberg, a most attractive and convenient location. Wehad a wonderful time there and would recommend this hotel.
