The friendliness of the welcome coupled with the owner's sense of humourgot our stay off to a great start. The Baltic is close to thehauptbahnhof and within easy walking distance of the historic centre ofLubeck. For the budget conscious it is excellent value with a greatbreakfast spread included in the price. A little noisy at times as it isnear the central bus terminal, but thoroughly recommended.

We booked the hotel for its location - it was just opposite the trainand bus station. It was also within 10 minutes' walk of the Old Town andthe shopping area. The bathroom facilities were very clean and includedplenty of towels and a hair dryer. The breakfast was great - a widerange of foods and a good supply of each one. For non-German speakers, the hosts also speak English and can give tips on what to see. We wereable to leave our luggage at the hotel while we went sightseeing on thelast morning, as our train did not leave until midday. We used theonline feedback to help in our selection.

The location of the Baltic Hotel was excellent.....just a couple ofminutes walk from the train station and only 5 minutes into town and theshops and restaurants. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Alovely breakfast was also included in the room price.....cereal, bread,a variety of cheeses, cold meats, fruit, juice, tea and coffee. Afterchecking out, I could leave my luggage at the hotel until I needed toleave. The proprietor was very friendly.... Offerring a map of the city, directions, and suggested walks in the city. I was travelling on my ownand felt very welcome and comfortable staying at the Baltic Hotel. Iwould have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again and wouldrecommend it to anyone travelling to Lubeck!
