The personnel is very kind, the hotel restaurant has a good selection of regional dishes, the WiFi connection is both ubiquitous and good, the double room that was given to me was equipped with a desk, glazed windows, roll-up shutters, a comfortable and well-sized bed and a huge bathroom. The restaurant is worth a visit even if you don't stay at the hotel!

The breakfast is excellent. It's open till 9h30 and you can take as muchfood as you want... There is home made fruit juice, omelet, a lot offruits, bread, meats, marmelade, nutella, etc etc etc... The location of this hostel is pretty good too. It's a little bit far from the city but even if you don't have a car, there is a bus stop very close from the hostel, the bus goes straight to the karlsruhe main train station (line 47, stop stupferich rathaus for the hostel). There is a bus every 20 minutes even on the evenings. The room was quiet, clean and big. The staff was nice, the owner can speak english.

We chose this hotel as its distance from Calais was about right for aone day drive and it was very close to the autobahn. It was also agood price. Our room was very clean and smart with plenty of space and the hotel provided a very good evening meal and breakfast. Contrary to another review of this hotel the menu was available in English. The hotel is made up of a number of "annexes" around a main building which only has a few rooms. This did not detract from the hotel at all as we were able to park our motorcycles right outside our room. It was only a short distance to th main building and a umbrella was in the room in case of a wet trip.
