The hotel was very close to the banks of the River Rhein and in walkingdistance to the ferry

Breakfast included in the price, although now that I stayed there, Ithought the price even including breakfast was a bit expensiveconsidering that the hotel besides being clean, looked like it wasclosed. From what I noticed there were only 2 rooms being occupied.

breakfast staff member was very friendly/efficient, receptionist /owner only spoke when we were paying, we booked this hotel thinking there was a bar where we could relax after a day out it looked as if the bar had not been used as such in years, no evening meals or snacks,apart from breakfast the hotel was deathly quiet, we enjoyed Kamp Bornhofen but the hotel is remote ,2 nearby hotels have all the facilities and welcoming staff we were expecting,but did not get at this hotel.

The hotel is a beautiful building, and the common areas are very nice. The view over the Rhine River, with a castle on the opposite side, is really nice. The room was large and comfortable, and the breakfast was great.

We loved the location along the Rhine River with our rooms overlookingthe river. We were given an opportunity to check out the room before itwas assigned to us and the staff did mention the train tracks behind thehotel. We did not hear the train as our rooms were in front.The dinnerand breakfast in the dining room were suberb.

Our favorite hotel in Germany. We've celebrated at least four of our anniversaries there. I have to say that the food is not as good as it once was (it had and lost a Michelin star), but it is still excellent. If you go, ask for one of the rooms with a balcony and a Rhine view. Beware of rear-facing rooms, for the railway is just a few meters behind the hotel.
