The small friendly atmosphere. Very small town. The owners are very nice. The room included a refirgeratur with water, beer and liquer. It was a nice size and the attached bathroom was clean. It was a good value. The breakfast in the morning was a variety of things from a buffet for 5 Euros.

Highlights of our stay at Castle Wasserburg Anholt were exploring the castle grounds, eating a special dinner in the castle restaurant & going on the castle tour. We definitely recommend a stay at this castle hotel.

I have stayed in my hotels throughout Europe and this one has to be oneof the top stays! The staff were nice and very helpful, the setting ofthe castle hotel from the outside was amazing with modern facilities onthe inside. I will definitely return to the Wasserburg Anholt and willrecommend this hotel to many friends and family members.

The room was very nice and the staff were helpful, however the twothings that I thought were best: 1) normally in the us there is a coffeemaker included in the hotel room, which is not the custom in Germany, sowe called reception and had coffee/espresso brought to the room, whichwas just heaven; 2) and the walk through the grounds (which is free aslong as you ask for tokens at the front desk). We saw a baby hedgehog onthe walk and went through the labrynith. Also, there is an animal parknearby, and we saw them feed the bears, which was a lot of fun.
