I was gladly surprised to discover Radisson SAS in Hamburg. Looking at the map i was always thinking this is quite off city center hotel. After i have moved to this hotel i found out that reaching city center is 5-10 minutes’ walk through nicely kept city park. Before moving to Radisson SAS i lived in hotel close to Central Station and in compare to Radisson region it is like day and night. By central station you will see not the nicest part of city life and i believe by choosing the hotel as a guest this is also important is it save and nice to come back to your place of stay by late evening. The hotel itself in nicely kept, clean and well organized. Service is fast and polite. I was happy to receive no cost for wireless service, while similar hotels in Hamburg like to charge extra for this.

The loction of this hotel is great, you can walk to the main shops with in 5 mins and if you are going to the reeperbarn, you can get there with in no more than 10 min walk for the hotel. I would stay at this hotel again. we used the gym and and the treatment room, they where just fab and i couldnt have asked for more. We had a evening meal in the Filini restaurant. This again was a very good meal and i would eat there again if we where to stay here again.

From arrival and check-in on to the check-out, everybody was amazinglyprofessional and warm-welcoming. The reception staff - and I went therea few times for some informations - was absolutely wonderful andefficient. I was very impressed by the hotel as well, the rooms werevery nice, breakfast was amazing. People in Hamburg are absolutelywonderful, and my stay there for a conference was one of my bestbusiness trip. Continue like this !

Comments re my experience at the ibis hotel at Hamburg airport thehotel: this experience is from a real guest, from an short stay Nov 2011this hotel is only rated [2] ** stars, but if you book early, you canget rooms for 59-79 Euro you can cancel your booking up to 1800hrs onday of arrival which I think is very handy, if you have to cancel yourflight shuttle service: just call the hotel and they pick you up orbring you to the airport, as early as 0500hrs the security system isvery good: as in most good hotels, you get a card which identifies youand the room number and it controls your room access, the elevator andthe parking gate access to the U-ground garage. Room service lets yousleep in, if necessary, staff in hotel lobby friendly and correct andyou can have the small 5.00 Euro breakfast at 0600hrs I would definitelychoose this hotel, if I come back to Hamburg

It is only 5 min from the airport via a free shuttle service. The rooms are very comfortable, including the shower/toilet/sink cell. They have a great little bar and comfort foods. Staff is super friendly. I will spent my last night again in any Ibis hotel, anywhere. C.L.

The hotel (or gasthaus I would rather call it) and especially rooms were tidy and mostly quite updated looking.Room walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors, but the hotel does not attract noisy guests. Most I saw were elderly or travelling alone. It is about 200 meters from the U bahn which goes directly to city center in about 25 mins, every 10 mins or so. It does not run at around 01-04 am. You can hear the planes landing but they stop at around midnight. Breakfast is limited continental.

We were in Hamburg for a concert. We asked the lady at the front desk how to get to the o2 Arena from the hotel. She was incredibly helpful and spoke English well. Breakfast was good with various breads, yogurt, fruit, granola, meat, cheese, juice, coffee, tea. The S Bahn station was a very quick and convenient 5 minute walk from the hotel. The bathroom was spotless and the room was small but comfy.

I've stayed at this hotel twice now because it's close to the airport. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpfull. The next time I fly from Hamburg I will use it again.

The room was very quiet, clean, light, and functional -- all above average for this price range. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. The immediate neighborhood seems quiet but boring (but perhaps nice for joggers), but it is easy to get to more interesting places via the main station, a 5-minute walk away.

We were passing through Hamburg and chose this hotel as it was near theroad network. It's a good bit outside the centre but easy to accesswith the metro system at the airport which is 2 minutes from the frontdoor of the hotel. Fantastic value for money. It was much cheaper thancentral Hamburg hotels. The hotel is in great condition and the roomsreally nice. The Sauna and steam rooms on the top floor are very cleanand very relaxing.

The hotel is at the Airport which made it extremely attractive for my business. I walked (maybe 100m) to the hotel from arrivals and my late check in was handled swiftly and friendly. Nice clean room with modern amenities. Hotel bar/restaurant very well run and the choices for meals/snacks was very good. Breakfast buffet (20 Euros) was extremely good, and the check-out swift and friendly. Overall an excellent impression.

I am a frequent business traveller in Europe, and this hotel is one of the best in which I have stayed. Radisson has thought of every possible detail required by a business traveller in the room layout and amenity package. The location at the airport is very convenient as well. I will definitely return to the hotel.

The hotel is value for money,seems to be an old office building whichhas been converted. I last stayed there regularly 2 years ago and sawhow the owners continually upgraded the decor of the hotel. I stoppedusing the hotel because my place of work changed. The priceunfortunately has since then also risen slightly, My room had a largeFlat Screen Television. All rooms have a Kitchen area equiped withFridge, oven, hotplates and coffee percolator (filters were provided)and all the cooking utensils you need for a short stay. Bathroom isdated. Accomodation was Clean and tidy. There is a supermarket on themain road about 6-700 metres away where you can buy provisions. Wlanoffered but I did not use it.

I think it is a pretty fare price for the spacious rooms and the kitchen. You can find everything in the kitchen to cook by youself, and also they have a big parking lot behind the building, which is also a pretty good solution for peole like me who is driving to Hamburg. As to the staff they are quite friendly and helpful by giving free maps etc... The location is also very good there is just a subway station two blocks away leading to the Rathaus and the shopping areas only two stations away.

I loved the room - it really was very big for us as a couple, not likeyou see in the pictures. The bed was very confortable and the sheetswere great. We had all we needed in the room. The parking was close,safe, great. I also liked the staff - friendly, gave you maps anddirections for everything you wanted to see in Hamburg. It is not veryclose to the center, but it is on a main U-bahn line and it is prettystraight-forward to get around Hamburg so this was not a problem either.

Hamburg's integratedpublic transport system is easy to use and excellent value for money.Friendly, helpful staff; washing machine & dryer available ifrequired. Appartment cleaned & towels (plentiful) changed half-waythrough the week.

Great hotel, great location. About 2 blocks from Landungsbruken Pier and metro station. Lots of small restaurants (Portuguese, Italian, seafood) close to the hotel. Small grocery store called Rewe on the other side of the building; open until 2300. The hotel room is essentially a loft. Fabulous balcony off living area. TVs on lower and upper level. We asked for a roll-away bed for our teen-ager when making reservations and it was in the room when we checked in. Kitchen was well equipped. Reception is not 24/7 so plan your arrival accordingly. Luggage storage available. Quiet location. I felt safe here (unlike right outside the train station in Hamburg).

Apart-Hotel style accomodation with very large rooms; it is possible to cook in the room where cutterly and dishes are fully available with no extra price. Staff is very good, they call You by name and are always ready to help you at any time. Advisable location for family with small children. Very well serviced area: a big supermarket ist just round the corner and a lot of restaurants, bars, pubs are just in the same street of the Hotel. City Center just few minutes walk away from Hotel.

What an amazing place, dont really want to to all how good as it may bebooked up when we want it again. Rooms spotless, they have a largedouble bed sort off sectioned off, then sitting area with small kitchen2 ring hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher. Laundry facilities in thebuilding. Was like home from home could do as you wanted with no maidsto disturb. Would definately stay here again, location good. Smallsupermarket round the back for all your shopping

I can not say enough good things about Apartmenthaus Hamburg. The staffwere fantastic! The hotel was very clean. We stayed in the 6 personapartment and the entire family loved it. We were headed into Hamburgand it was recommended we purchase the Hamburg Pass at the bus stopwhich gets us a discount at restaurants, attractions, one days worth ofUban and bus access, etc. We weren't sure how to purchase one and justas we were about to give up one of the reception staff fromApartmenthaus Hamburg happened to come along, guide us through theprocess, speak to the bus driver, stayed with us onthe bus to the UBanand made sure we were comfortable with our travels. Amazing!! And aspromised we received a discount at the several attractions. Definatelythe way to go.

Clean and functional appartment. I had the family room for 4 persons . It is near by the Messe ( Below 10 euros wit a taxi: advice taxi 040-666666) and 1- minutes driving to the airport. You can use these appartments with max. 4 grown ups if it is used for sleeping only. Good internet (Free of Charge) and coffee and tea available. Breakfast in the Venedig Cafe or buy yourself a croissant in the kiosk. All opposite street at 30 meters.

I was very impressed with the apartment; we stayed in a one room apartment, and it was a good size. The furnishings were good, I liked the style (I was informed by my friend that it is "typical modern German"), it was clean and quite well equipped for a one room apartment (toaster, kettle, coffee machine, enough plates/cutlery for two). The lady who runs the place is very nice and helpful. The location is great -- a 10 minute walk from the train station in one direction, and the subway in the other. We weren't bothered by noise from other apartments at all. Overall, I was impressed, especially for the money paid.

Within minites of booking it I was contacted to inform about my arrival possibilities and how I could enter after 6pm. Being a business traveler knowing Hamburg quite well I find it a very nice escape from the hotel set-up. I also see it as a great option when I come to visit Hamburg with my family.

We liked the comfort and the attention to detail in the apartment. Thetv was good with a variety of channels. The bathroom facilities wereclean and good. Also the shower was spacious. It was also a lot moremodern than some of the photos shown in the website.

This is not a hotel. It is a B&B, i.e. rooms in a first floor apartment, with no lift. We had a triple room, which was spacious and light, very comfortable, quirkily (& tastefully) decorated and looked out large windows over a community garden. Situated in the University quarter, it is within easy walking distance to trains, buses and restaurants. There is Hadley's cafe and bar nearby, which serves breakfast from 10am, and lunch & dinner, but if you want earlier breakfast, the owners of the B&B provide an excellent one for 7€ per person: good coffee, fresh warm rolls, cheese and jams. Good value, and we would stay there again. Recommended.

I stayed at Hadley's b&b for three weeks while collaborating with aprofessor at a nearby university. I enjoyed my time at Hadley's due tothe very kind and personal attention I was given by the staff. It is agood place to stay for short or extended stays. Furthermore, thelocation is excellent - there are plenty of options for pubic transportand food nearby.

Great B & B overall - the location is centrally located and yet far enough away that you feel you are not in the centre of tourism - great way to see real Hamburg. Loved the courtyard and area it was in!!!! So unique

Very simple furniture but good enough for business trip. Clean and easy to go anywhere in Hamburg. Actually, fast wireless internet was not included and not cheap (€12.5 a day) but for me it was also good because there's 5-day package of €29 - it means €5 a day.

The hotel is rather good! I paid good money for things that I needed. This hotel is mostly occupied by students, but those who are not students - this is a good choice for several days to stay. Altona train and underground station is near the hotel, that is one of the main points for this choice. And the price for the room was the best. As the station is near - the way to the center by train took max 15 minutes. The staff of the hotel is friendly, room was clean. I did't have breakfast in the hotel, so I can't tell u if it is ok. Altona region is full of shops, restaurants and night life. Hamburg is worth visiting!

It was so so...The staff was mostly nice,but...There was construction work inside hotel,the rooms was eluminated too much,I ordered a room with double bed,hoping I will get 1 double matrass,instead I got 2 doublle beds and double matrases,and had to move to other room in 2 days because of incredable noise from construction inside the hotel yard that woke me up at 0700 am.Plus the elevator got broken 3 times and it wasnt easy to clime 3 floors after lunch...

Excellent value hostel within a couple of minutes walk of Altona station (served by mainline and local services). The hostel is fairly new in appearance and is well kept and clean. Free wifi is available in the lobby area as well as a choice of snacks and beverages. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient despite having to deal with large queues and groups. The room was clean and beds comfy. There was a flat screen TV in the room too.

The hotel design is the bright example of the best modern interior art (the dining/ breakfast room is especially spectactular). The superior 4 star ranking is fully justified. Also remarkable that the hotel has very nice restaurant and the lobby bar, which looks very trendy and even glamourous and very poplular in the evening not only for the hotel's guests.

The nicely decorated room. Everything is 'design'. Hotel issituated in not the best part of Hamburg, but definitely a lively aneighbourhood. When you want to enjoy Hamburgs nightlife, this isthe place to stay. Hamburger Dom is located next to the Hotel.Reception desk staff is efficient, very polite and willing to helpand giving advice.
