The rooms were clean and the location was excellent (which was one of the reasons we chose this hotel). The staff was very nice. The breakfast was just right for us as we usually don't eat a heavy breakfast.

It was clean and comfortable. The staff was very gracious and hospitable except for the older man, he was very grumpy. One night, I asked if the restaurant was open, he said yes but then replied there is only 3 things on the menu :that's it nothing more". He seemed bothered. Other than him it was excellent hotel. Very DOG FRIENDLY.

We had a pleasant stay at Landhotel garni Grainauer Hof. Friendly andrelaxed atmosphere and very German in style. The room was nice, nothingspecial but everything we needed was there. Beds were quite hard though.Pool area was fine but the pool was very cold. Breakfast was very nice,lots to choose from and friendly service. For some reason, the hotel wasvery welcoming to guests with dogs so almost all the other guests hadbrought their dog - the dogs were barking and running around and alsopermitted in the restaurant. We like dogs so it was not a problem forus, but others might find it disturbing.

This is a fantastic family-run Hotel! The location is incomprable, withthe most stunning view of the Zugspitz. The food is superb and the valueof it all is excellant.

Hotel Hirth is cozy and has a spectacular view of the mountains. It'sclose to Garmish and plenty of tourist sites. There is a walking pathacross the street for leisurely even strolls. The hotel serves very yummy regional foods, but be sure to check with the hotel prior to booking if you expect to eat there. During off season or low booking time frames they may close the kitchen and you'll need to travel into town for food in the evening. On the flip side, the breakfast spread is an ample and tasty German standard bread, eggs, jams, sweat breads, coffee/tea and juice.

Large Double Room with Montain View is excellent. The view of Zugspitz from my room was amazing! Brackfast was very good. Friendly staff. Lots of good parking, but very full at the weekend. Nice hotel with greath lacation (if you're in a car).

My room was a large room, the bathroom was big but what I most enjoyed was the Zugspitze view, tah was amazing. The included breakfast is really complete and DELICIOUS. My kids went swimming, it' great to have a swimming pool in the building but it was a little bit COLD, considering that it was chilly outside, so we expected that the pool water was going to be warm.

I like the rooms which have a separate sleeping area for two children unlike many European hotels which require you to stay in two separate rooms if you have more than one child. The rooms have lots of wood and are very cozy. The children swam in the pool which is big and looks interesting (colors and decor.) We got in late and thus ate in the restaurant which serves really good food (I had homemade cream of tomato soup which was superb.) Outside the restaurant is a lovely stream with ducks and fish. The breakfasts are very complete with a wide assortment of items. All staff are friendly.

Mr. Mader was very helpful. Literary just outside the Buchenhof you haveseveral walking paths which was very convenient for us. It was a smallapartment with kitchen so we could prepare a small meal ourselves.Wireless internet access in the room was very good.

The location is great, between Garmish and Eibsee, in a very quiet area. Easy to find. The room/ apartment is really big and confortable (like the pictures shown here). You have a small kitchen, so you can preprare or breakfast or other meal if you want.The terrace, garden area on the back is really nice for summer, to just stay there and catch some sun with your family. The wireless works just fine in the room while we were there (just 1 night). I recommend it and would definitely return to this hotel.

Location, Price & layout: great deal for an apartment room, completewith mini-fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, all the dish wear youneed (except bowls??), coffee pot / water heater & very clean andcomfortable. Ideally suited for a small family or couple on a budget;location is literally around the corner or the down the road fromgrocery stores, bakeries and resturants. Keep going, and the Eibsee &Zugspitze are within a few minutes as well. This is defineately for theindependent traveler - great place to stay, however you are more or lesson your own once you arrive.
