Room was quiet and comfortable, excellent breakfast. Very central location, access to everything was at hand. Hotel had a heated pool. The free transport card for this town very much appreciated.

We were thrilled with our stay at Hotel Roter Hahn Garni. Breakfast was excellent, the room was comfortable and clean, the pool/sauna area was immaculate and very relaxing, and the owners were friendly and charming. The hotel is about 2 blocks away from the main train station and Zugspitze/Alpspitze cog train station, which made our daily adventures very convenient. The owners have a huge binder of tourist and area information available for perusal in the lobby that was very helpful as we planned what to do each day. Our room was called a "small double", but it was bigger than many of the hotel rooms we had across Switzerland and Germany, and had a lovely balcony overlooking the street and the mountains. The road was a little noisy in the morning, but the windows were completely soundproof and we slept well with them closed and with earplugs one night when it was too warm to close the windows. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, and fondly recommend it.

True to the advertised information, Hotel Roter Haus Garmisch-Partenkirchen was only a few minutes down the road from the trainstation (where there is also bus station). This is the 2nd time that we have stayed at the Gasthof Fraundorfer andwe had a fantastic time yet again. The hotel staff are very friendly andwelcoming, the food and the beer liquers are excellent. Theentertainment was fantastic, you cannot possibly fail to have abrilliant time at this hotel.(PS. Restaurant closed on Tuesdays). Noproblem parking at the rear of the hotel. The hotel is in a brilliantposition for exploring the local area around Garmisch Partenkirchen.

The personnel was extremely friendly, kind & nice.. . we checked in abit earlier as we arrived a bit earlier, and also wanted to keep our 1baggage for a few hours after checking out during the sight-seeing, orwanted to get much info of the places. Anything was no problem and thehotel personnel tried to accept our wish so long they can and gave usinfo patiently (although the hotel is due to the beautiful house andtraditional kitchen so famous that they do not need to be nice, justonly to gets more guests). We liked it a lot.

We booked two rooms, # 40 and 41 inthe Barbara building. They were on the main floor. The mountain views inother building or on higher floors would have been tremendous, but juststepping outside was enough to see the highest peaks even at groundlevel. The restaurant was some of the best food of our 11 days inGermany. Breakfast offered a wonderful buffet of meats, breads, cereals,fruits and eggs cooked to order.

The hotel is in a quiet area of the village,not far from the maipedestrian area.Large parking space. The owner was very kind andwilling to help,clean romms with balcony. Breakfast pretty basic buarstill enogh.

The hotel is located in the center of Garmisch, in a quite a quite old building. we booked an appartment, but discovered that the appartments are in a separate old building without an elevator or a view, and therefore we swithched to the main building to a deluxe room. The rooms at the hotel are of various types and conditions, so while reserving online you can end up in a small and viewless room at the end of a bad looking corridor. The hotel has a great restaurant with a nice terrace facing the street. We ate there every evening and liked the waiters service.

The restaurant is excellent. During the warm months, piano music is provided in the streetside dining area. This hotel is in the heart of Garmisch. Local bus transportation is provided with the tourist registration, as are discounts throughout town. Wi fi is available throughout as a part of the room rate, along with an Internet connected work station for guests. The morning breakfast buffet is excellent and generous, attended to by an attentive cheerful staff. Recently decorated apartments are also available in a separate building. They are very tastefully decorated.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Garmisch, less than a block from a pedestrian mall with many shops and restaurants and within walking distance of the Tourist Office and the Train station (although too far from the station to lug suitcases). Many of the nearby restaurants serve authentic German cuisine. The room we stayed in was spacious, modern and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel exterior is interesting and attractively Bavarian, and there are many other architectural attractions in the neighborhood (early houses and churches). The buffet breakfast was varied and excellent. There is a restaurant in the hotel. A bus stop across the street provides convenient access to the Train Station, commercial district and other parts of the city, as well as lift terminals at nearby mountains.

The service was outstanding and the rustic style is very taseful. Iwould highly recommend this hotel if you are headed to Garmisch, andwould like to be in the center of Old Town. Either way, you are in for areal treat as the atlas is a fantastic four star value and I stronglyrecommend it for those looking for a taste of the Old Country withmodern accomodations.

This was a very nice hotel and the host was very gracious and helpful(and spoke excellent English). We requested a room away from the churchbells (based on reviews) and was provided a nice room, double bed with alittle walk out area with views of the mountains, and the bells were noproblem. I think this hotel would be great in summer, the pool and spaarea look great, but were closed for the season. We did use the sauna,which is in an upstairs area, also very nice. The breakfast buffet wasgreat, scrambled eggs and sausages, along with a variety of pastries,yogurts, cold meats and cheeses. Oh, did I mentione the fresh OrangeJuicer.. Great=)

This hotel is out of the ordinary, not a standard chain type hotel whichwe both loved. With some extra care and staff training this could reallybe a great luxury hotel and the restaurant is on its way to being verygood indeed, its just a pity that not more people were eating in it. Theroom, breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were first class, thewaitress for breakfast was charming and very helpful as was therestaurant manager. To be honest the food in the restaurant was the bestwe ate over the five days we spent in Bavaria. Our room had great viewswith a nice balcony, the sauna room with its views was amazing. Ondeparture a mistake was made with the bill but sorted immediately. Wewill defiantly go back again.

The apartment is close to the Hausbergbahn and not far from the centre of GaPa. The apartment has a beautiful view on the mountains. It is decorated in traditional Bavarian style and well suited for families that need two bedrooms.

The apartments where great! The staff was very friendly and upgraded us to a bigger apartment for free....and we didnt even ask! The apartment was clean and the kitchen had all the supplies you could need. The only thing I would bring next time is paper towels/napkins. We will stay here again next time we go to Garmisch.

The apartment was terrific for us. We travelled with our infant daughter and mother-in-law, and the two bedroom apartment was perfect to provide plenty of room to all of us. The view of the Zugspitze out the window of the living room was absolutely stunning! It was within easy walking distance to the center of Garmisch for food and shopping, and would make an excellent base for a longer term stay.

The hotel/bed and breakfast was lovely. We arrived a bit later in the evening but the staff was completely helpful and adapting. We were thrilled with the view of the mountains from the room and the location to the Marienplatz with shops, restaurants and bars was great. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Large breakfast and wonderful service. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place in Garmisch.

Our family of 4, 2 teens and 2 adults, spent 2 nights at lovelyGastehaus Maria. Our stay was perfect! Maria and family were perfecthosts. At checkin she asked what brought us to the area and was able toprovide us with maps and helpful tips for our short stay. Our room wasvery spacious and comfortable. It was a quick walk into the city. Wecould not have asked for a better place to stay in this beautiful city.

The owners are excellent hosts and put on an outstanding EuropeanBreakfast. The breakfast room is beautiful with a glassed in patio withviews of all the surrounding mountains. The b&b is conveniently locatedwithin walking distance of the Garmisch pedestrian zone and an easy hikeaway from the local War Memorial. The hosts even prepared a going awaylunch for us as we had to check out very early to make our flight inMunich. Excellent and comfortable rooms with great internet access for avery small fee.

The apartment was big, very clean, well-maintained and well-equipped (with fully-equipped kitchen and living room). Location was very nice and absolutely quiet (at Hoellentalstrasse, less than 5 minutes on foot from Marienplatz and Am Kurpark). Contact with the Owner/Manager was nice and easy - by e-mail prior to arrival and by phone/text messages afterwards. Please note, that my notes apply to the particular apartment I have been assigned to and do not necessarily have to apply to all the others (see below)!

The apartment was really an upscale condo. It was clean and spacious ina very nice section on the outskirts of town. It was very quiet, thebeds were comfortable and we slept well. The kitchen was well equippedand the bath was roomy with double sinks and a comfy tub/shower. Afterwe figured out the bus ,we were able to manage quite nicely.

This is not a hotel, but a holiday apartment (we were staying in Solinda, there are different ones from this agency). Our apartment was rather good equipped and comfortable. Perfect for the self-caterers (the kitchen equipment is quite ok). The location is very nice, with a perfect view of the Wettersteingebirge range from the balcony. Nice and spacious bathroom with both bathtub and shower.

Although I accidentally booked the super saver rate for the wrong dates,when I emailed the hotel they changed the dates and kept the ratewithout any hassle. I also arrived 4 days earlier than I had planned andwas given a room at the same super saver rate. The hotel is superconvenient. The breakfast was very good. The room quite comfortable(although without T.V.). Staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel staff was welcoming. Location at the middle of Garmisch madeit easy to find.It was close to the center of town and to a creekwho's noise made it romantic. The prices (off season)made it atractivein a town that conciders very expensive.we got the up stairs rooms whowere equipped with all necessery kitchen facilities. The rooms wereclean.It was good place to stop on the way.It is a great placr for aski vacation.

The hotel is very close to the railway station, ideal for catching the funicular railway to the skiing area on the Zugspitze.The staff were very friendly and helpful, On our last day we were allowed to leave our bags in the room after checking out, so we got a whole days skiing in, and a shower afterwards!. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The room was well heated, a good size, with comfortable beds, ample storage, and with a large balcony. The hotel is excellent value for money.

We were in a 6-bed family room. It was a beautiful, spacious room with high-ceilings and a great mountain view. We wanted to hike upon our arrival, but were unsure of which hike to choose. The staff helped us choose the perfect family hike for our time in the area.
