This is one of the most delightful hotels in Ettal. Rooms overlook thehills, the staff is considerate to arrange my room next door to myfriends so we share a balcony, the food is super, easy walk to themonastery, pass a fantastic woodworking shop on the way. Easy drive toOberammergau, Linderhoff etc. Hot water pot in the room for tea/coffee,stocked mini bar, good prices. Nice pool. Just a great place to relaxand enjoy the area.

The welcome was superb.They were pleased to see us.We were taken to ourrooms and all previous requests were catered for. Tea making facilitiesin the room,safe and minibar in which to keep our provided milk cold.Wefelt that "the team"cared and nothing was too much trouble for them,from the cleaning staff to top management.The hotel was well patronisedby many foreign and national visitors.Ettal is a superb village with anAbbey/Brewery/cheese factory(excellent balcony coffee bar). Nice eveningwalks.Location excellent for Garmish Partenkirchen/Linderhofcastle/Neuschwanstein/Hohenschwangau/Weiskirche not forgettingMittenwald.Stayed an extra day it was so comfortable.

The hotel is walking distance from the Monastery Ettal famous for therebier and snaps making, lots of Trails for all ages. The Hotel is quietlysituated on the east end of the valley and town. The lager rooms allhave balconies facing south and west. The staff was very help full withsightseeing info and they have staff that can speak 5 differentlanguages. There Wellness program was great, large jet pool, 3 differentsaunas, cooling room and lounge area. For American standards small badwell sized for European standards. The breakfast buffet had a lot ofvariety on breads, cold cuts, fruits,yoghurt, coffee and tees. It iswell worth to include breakfast in you room bookings.The restauranttables where always decked out and the staff was friendly and quick withthe service. Sight seeing is great, everything in 1 hr. Drive distance,one tip, fill up your car in Austria the gasoline is about 10centcheaper there, it takes only 20min on a nice country road to get thereand on the way you can visit th
