This hotel is located as you enter the beautiful town of Cochem on theMoselle from the motorway. It is spacious, quiet, with excellentfacilities and comfort. It also has free car parking in the largecarpark in front of the hotel. We were particularly impressed by thefriendly family atmosphere, local cuisine and wine and excellent staff.The breakfast and evening meals were of a superb standard and muchenjoyed. We used this hotel for a visit to the castle and to go on aboat trip along the moselle, combined with some wine-tasting. We nowplan to visit again next year.

This is a very nice hotel. It is in a very nice setting in the valleyjust about 3 km from Cochem town centre. It is possible to walk into thetown in 20 minutes. Driving into town was 2 minutes but parking isdifficult. We had room 3 which is a balcony room and well worth theextra money. Room was very clean and well appointed (did not like glassdoor on toilet!) and very comfortable. Staff were very friendlyespecially the manager Frank who spoke excellent english and hs a greatsense of humour too. There was a very friendly and helpful waitress whenwe ate in the resteraunt at night who spoke english and was verypleasant and attentive. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Wewould certainly go back here in the future. Would highly recommend thishotel. Cochem is beautiful and really is a hidden Gem. Everyone shouldvisit at least once in their life!!

We stayed for 5 nights and really hated toleave; when we left it was like leaving friends behind. Frank and HotelWinneburg really set the standard for a pleasurable bed and breakfastexperience in Germany and we definitely intend to return.

We were parents travelling with an adult child (the trip was auniversity graduation present) and were given a separate building toaccommodate our group of three. We had the top floor of this buildingand our room was excellent. We had a bedroom and a sitting room withtelevision that also had the third bed. The bathroom was brand new andfeatured a shower stall. There was ample parking, too. The location ofStumbergers Hotel was good and we enjoyed a nice walk along the Mosel.Breakfast was included and offered a variety of delicious selections. Ifwe didn't live so far away, we would definitely book this hotel for aweek-end getaway.

The situation of the hotel was just right. We had 10 min walk to the centre along a foot/cycle path by the side the river. It was far enough away from the main part of the town. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very well organised. The staff were very welcoming,friendly and helpful. The breakfast was served as a buffet and was yummy! We had evening meal in the bar on two occasions and very much enjoyed the food. Great stay on this little gem. Would certainly recommend it.

The Stumbergers Hotel was a lovely surprise. Located directly on the Mosel River along the main tourist route in Cochem, our room had a balcony that gave us a stunning view of the Cochem castle. The room was roomy and tastefully decorated in pleasant, coordinated colors. The breakfast buffet was superb! The owner was a very pleasant man who saw to our every need. If ever in this part of the world again, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We had a lovely holiday, staff very friendly and helpful. Room was verynice, clean and well equipped. Location was very good in a small townwith nice, friendly places to eat. Just a couple of minutes walk fromthe Mosel with lots of walking and cycle paths.

Nice old historic hotel with loads of charm, friendly service and roomsthat are inividuallyi decorated. Ours was very charming, and felt real"old" - in a good way. The leaning floors and funny angles just adds tothis historic charm. The hotel is situated just in the middle of thecharming old town area.

My wife and myself where perfectly happy with everything the hotel had to offer. We recieved a fantastic reception from the guy on reception, nothing was too much trouble for him or the rest of the staff and they made us feel welcome and at home. It is a very old and beautiful hotel and we look forward to going back one day.

Although the rooms where basic, the welcome was fantastic, and it was only a few minute walk to the centre of Cochem. The quality of the produce for the breakfast was superb. It was fantastic that it had a quality vineyard and that you could try and buy wines. Although it was close to the train station, it did not disturb our stay. We hope to stay again, although it does get booked up. Top Tip = book early.

Owner was friendly and allowed us to test their wines. Very near to thetrain station. No aircon though, so have to open the window at night.The noise from the trains (which is just next to the hotel) may disturbyour sleep. Choose the rooms facing the vineyards instead if possible.Rooms and toilets are clean. Breakfast is mainly cheese, bread, butter,jam, coffee/tea, orange juice and cereal. Value for money if not for thenoise from the trains at night.

The owner is so nice and accommodating. The breakfast was generous and very good....could have used more coffee but that is minor in the whole experience. The wine they make at this winery is wonderful. We we literally across the track from the train station to Rademacher's. Unfortunately, we did not realize until we took the long way around the block to it. Rooms for my family and our travel partners were comforable, clean and spacious. Our adult son traveled with us and was in a single room. Very spacious and comfortable. Easy walk to the main area of restaurants and shops. If/when we return to Germany, we found Cochem simply lovely on the river and would like to make it an extended stay rather than an overnight stop. You cannot go wrong staying at this very simple and basic B & B. Keep in mind, If you're looking for glamour, you'll need to go further into town and pay more, but that is foolish. Our introduction by the ever attentive Ralph and the provision of a dedicated motorbike garage under the premises brought a huge smile to our faces that stayed for the 5 days we had booked. The breakfasts are excellent and the hotels position of a short walk from Cochem center added to an overall impression of a choice well made. We hired well maintained bicycles from the B&B and managed to combine copious wine tasting and energetic river exploration without any mishaps. A great B&B with super hosts. One to be recommended and revisited.

We booked this expecting a simply furnished 2 room apartment and was completely surprised to get a spacious, and beautifully furnished apartment. The kitchen was better equipped than my own . We had a large verandah so we decided to make dinner and stay in as it was such a great place to be. The breakfast was the best we had in our entire trip. complete with breads, cheese, meat, cereals and even scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage. The hotel was incredibly clean and effeciently run. Definately the best hotel of our trip. When you calculate the cost saved by eating dinner in , the price is comparable any cheaper hotel, but the standard is much higher

Nice, clean, comfortable, family run hotel. We had a very spacious family room with large double and two single beds, en-suite shower & wc and a balcony overlooking the Moselle River. There is a main road outside the hotel, but it is quiet at night and early morning. Very good breakfast selection including, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, different breads, rolls, croissants, eggs, cakes, preserves etc. Outside terrace where one can enjoy a beer or coffee up til 22.00. Very helpful friendly staff. About a 10 - 15 min level walk from the centre of Cochem, making it a bit quieter than the town centre hotels. Would definitely stay there again.

Close to the Nurburgring. Garage for motorbikes. Prime location for bars & restaurants. Staff very friendly & helpful. Will definately stay again. Easy access to motorways. Food in the restaurant excellent, good beer, rooms quiet at night. Top class hotel.

Clean and tidy, good bar and resaurant, good basic breakfast included, biker friendly with off the street parking for 3 Euro per bike. Friendly and helpful staff, very competetive room rates, 100yds from town. All good. Second time we've stayed there and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

We felt this hotel was a very good value for the money. The room was clean, the location was great, the owner was friendly and helpful and it didn't hurt that he met us at check in with a glass of his good wine.

This is a small guest house in a fine location just ten minutes walk to the centre of Cochem. Local railway station was a short walk away which was an added bonus when planning train journeys. We found the staff very pleasant and polite.

The apartment was fabulous, the view incredible. Fully equiped kitchenkitchen, wood burning stove. We loved the sauna and the shower. Nicepatio to enjoy the evening sunset. Very very nice. We could of spent aweek there easy.
