The hotel was clean and quite comfortable. The first night the room was just a little chilly - but the weather got milder subsequently so no further problem. Breakfast was good and served from 07.00 to 11.00 - about as wide a time span as anyone could want. The staff was friendly and helpful. Access to the lift involved a flight of stairs, so not very wheel-chair friendly - though I think there were ways around this involving entering by the garden from which a lift was available.Location just off the wide boulevard of Kurfurstendamm (around house number 200 or so) was excellent - U-Bahn within 2 mins walk, city sight-seeing tours starting point about the same, some nice restaurants nearby. It was, however, far enough down the one-way Fasanenstrasse to avoid traffic noise from the busy main street. The two Taxi drivers we used did not know the street by name, but had no difficulty when given the name of the hotel. All in all good value and a good place to stay.

During our recent stay at the Hotel Augusta my husband and I were able to enjoy the comfort of a lovely hotel situated one hundred yards from the K'damm. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful and an excellent breakfast was provided in a large and pleasant dining room with a balcony which overlooked a tree-lined street. Frequency and availability of tour and service buses as well as the Ubahn made it possible for us to see as much of Berlin as possible. There are numerous restaurants on the K'damm and we dined in some of them and thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine. The bedrooms in the hotel were an adequate size and furnished and decorated traditionally. Rooms were cleaned every day. Location of the hotel and the pleasant professional staff made this a wonderful holiday.

This is the ideal establishment for those wishing to live the Berliner Elegance experience! How many hotels can realy boast of being housed in so delightfully restaurated a building, dating back from the good all times yet lacking practically nothing in modern amenities? Charming decoration on the inside, pleasant surprises along the way (an interior garden, complete with a leafy kiosque and a gargling pond!), impeccable cleanliness and meticulous maintenance of the rooms and premises on a daily basis, a very correct variety of choice in breakfast (taken in the cosiest breakfast room) and all that with free Wi-Fi connection, free parking cards for my car and the proximity of both a subway station and Kurfüstendam within walking distance!
