What a delightful hotel. Situated in the older part of town just below the Castle in Apolda. A quiet part of the town. The staff where exceedingly friendly and very helpful. Especially the check in lady. Was a bit of a confusion to get to the hotel as one of the roads leading to the hotel was blocked off. We managed to get to the Hotel and settled in nicely. The rooms were reasonably large, exceedingly clean and very comfortable. The hotel has a sauna and solarium that were used and i can tell you they were very clean and the Sauna was a relaxing experience before the evening meal. The Catering was of a reasonable standard well presented and excellent taste. This hotel is worth staying in for the breakfast alone, there was a very large selection to choose from, but the outstanding feature was the warm bread in what resembled an oven. The smell of fresh bread with the embers of fresh coffee was a perfect start to a perfect breakfast that led to a perfect day.

Reception was very welcoming and helpful.The hotel is quite large andright in the centre of Apolda. We had a large apartment room which hadtwo comfortable beds, a storage room, a kitchenette, a desk and a minibar, as well as the refridgerator in the kitchenette. We had basicallyeverything we needed in a well appointed, clean and comfortable room.The bathroom had plenty of towels and there were containers of soaps andbody lotion. The breakfast was superb with a wide choice of practicallyeverything fresh that you could desire, and the service was good. Weenjoyed the dinner and there was a good choice on the menu.

As good a modern hotel as I have ever stayed in, and very good value for money. Comfortable, spotlessly clean, and more genuinely friendly than many a multi-star hotel. Location within Apolda is good, very central but not noisy. The town itself is nothing special, but its location between Naumburg and Weimar makes it a good base for the area, and I am sure a hotel of this standard would have been a lot more expensive in either of those towns.
