Lovely room, and elegant decoration. Dinner was very good value, and served in a relaxed atmosphere. As the hotel is within about 10 miles of Luxembourg, and within 3 or 4 miles of the main route between Calais and Alsace / Switzerland (and avoiding the French Toll motorways) this is an ideal stopover.

We chose L’Horizon as a stopover hotel on our way to Italy. It was closeto the motorway, on the outskirts of Thionville. Room was comfortable. Decor was all a bit "faded grandeur".

The hosts were charming and could not do enough. The location was quite rurual in spite of overlooking a busy town. The evening meal was superb and compared very well in price and content with other gourmet meals we have had in hotels.

The location is central and on a pedestrian street. My room was clean, tidy and comfortable, overlooking the rear courtyard. The hotel provided storage space for my bicycle in a lockup garage (this is quite important as cycling along the Moselle valley is becoming quite popular). The breakfast is of the buffet ’all you can eat’ type.

A very clean well presented hotel. We were late arriving and the receptionist stayed on to ensure we had room keys etcWe stayed only one night and it was a good place for a restfull nights sleep.

Very nice hotel, easy to find, free night parking nearby (Place du Republique). Breakfast is good value for money.

The location is central and on a pedestrian street. My room was clean, tidy and comfortable, overlooking the rear courtyard. This is an older hotel that has been renovated. Like many hotels inFrance, it is cramped. The location is fantastic, but the buildingitself is dated. The rooms are ok - make sure you ask for a renovatedroom. The staff is excellent and the hotel manager is one of the bestwe've met; friendly, accommodating, etc. Great hotel if you are visitingthis charming small city. We also looked at the new Kyriad that justopened, but it's built with cheap materials and it had a pervasive paintsmell throughout the hotel.

Great location right on the edge of the pedestrianised city centre, walking distance from the TGV railway station. We stayed with a large group of GB Masters athletes to compete in the European Masters Championships.

It was a little bit like a castle. Also the surrounding were like a bigpark. The rooms were big enough and basicly equipped. Ik was good but alittle bit old, what did not matter tot me.The tv was good. We could notfind the location very easily, for our navigation-system did not work toVolkrange so we have asked a lot. Perhaps the hotel can make adescription of reaching the place. I suggest you eat the local cuisineespeccially the quiche was good and the cheese. The breakfast was notincluded so at the end the room was a little more expensive than Ithought, but the breakfast was good. For the eating part it was good forthe price.We will use this place as a stop between our home and ourdestination.

We stayed in Room 23 on the second floor. We thought that the room was clean but that the decor was disgusting; more appropriate to a youth hostel in 1970. What a waste in such a beautiful building and we trust you have dismissed your interior designers. The staff were efficient and the restaurant was delightful. Excellent dinner and breakfast and good value for money. We would stay again but would have to go to the trouble of ensuring that we were not put into a dormitory room Sheila Buttle

We stayed here one night and selected it since it was a good halfway point in our trip home from France to The Netherlands. The price was also good. The hotel is new and decorated with Enzo Ferarri memorabilia. The rooms are modern; it had a nice flat screen tv and the free WiFi was nice to have. The bathroom was really nice and clean and the shower was one of those rain shower models -- I could have stayed under it all morning! Breakfast was also good except the eggs seemed to be some kind of powdered eggs and were simply plopped in an unappetizing blob next to the sausages. There were cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, yoghurts, coffee from a machine (we had the double espressos which were lovely), tea, and juices. The night before we ate at the Au Bureau restaurant which is located in a small row of restaurants next to the hotel. That was also very good and had been recommended to us by one of the hotel assistants. The assistants in the hotel all spoke English, at least enou

Kyriad Design Hotel Enzo, Thionville. Kyriad is a new chain of hotelswhich is beginning to infest France; to the detriment of the olderhotels, with their charm, amazing cellars, uneven floors, idiosyncraticplumbing and hall lights which go out before you've found your room. TheEnzo bit means that this Kyriad has some link with Ferrari. This wastypified by a car based decor, two f1 cars (shells, I assume) inReception, a free car shaped stress toy in the bathroom and the staffall wearing race suits and racer shoes. That aside, it was a plain old, same old, modern hotel. Well, the 2nd room was: the first one had the airco stuck on 25 degrees centigrade and the shower knob fell off when I went to use it. The second room was fine. I wouldn't make a detour to visit a Kyriad again, but I can't really fault it or the staff - and it was better than you'd get in a UK chain at the price.

The hotel was easy to find due to its distintive design and location and had ample parking. The staff member at reception was helpful and friendly. The hotel appeared very new and the room was crisp and clean with an excellent shower and complimentary items. The bed was very comfortable. The price was sensible and my fellow guests for whom I had organised the stay were impressed and pleased with the hotel for our short trip.
