Beautiful location- stunning views. The hotel staff friendly, helpful, the people of the village delightful. The Abbaye itself a beautifulhistoric building - very peaceful and relaxing either in the gardens orby the jetty in front of the hotel. Absolutely wonderful and definitelyrecommended.

The Abbaye of Talloires has a spectacular lakeside setting onpicturesque Lake Annecy with incomparable tranquil scenic beauty. Timespent there is a vacation within a vacation. Iwish the management would try to exploit the central courtyard beyondits visual attributes: a few tables, chairs, benches in a fullylandscaped setting would entice the visitor to lounge there and enjoylight snacks. The historical structure of the building does not allowthe violatioon of its integrity, but an outside elevator tower w.
