The location inside the ramparts ("old city") was great. There was also a very nice little beach and beach bar near the hotel, perfect for watching the sunset. Though the hotel is a bit "older" in style, the owners have added modern, convenient touches--for example the bathroom was modern and up to date--good shower! The linens were fine and extra pillows were supplied. Our family room consisted of a double bed and separate smaller room with a lofted twin bed and a second bed partially underneath it, which the kid.

Having travelled through St Malo before, we wanted to spend some moretime there after getting off the overnight ferry and before travelingonwards to our holiday destination. This hotel is perfectly situated forthe ferry terminal and old town, with all of its attractions. The hotel wascharacterful, staff were pleasant and the breakfast was lovely. Willdefinitely stay here again, either pre- or post-fer.

The bathroom was lovely, new and clean. On our last day staff asked if we wanted to order a taxi from the hotel. We had already decided that we wanted to go to Dinard by bus as it was going to be cheaper to get a taxi from there to the airport. The lady in the hotel arranged for a taxi to pick us up from a location in Dinard which was very much appreciated as when we went to Dinard we did not see a single taxi in sight.

An excllent hotel. I’d booked it as a stop-over the night beforecatching the ferry, but the stay there really added to our holiday, andwas more than just a functional stop. The hotel was in a super location, being away from the main busyness ofSt. Malo proper, in a quiet, residential area, yet only just set backfrom the beach, which was totally accessible.

Everything was fantastic! The small but lovely hotel was so comfortable and clean, well designed, well cared. The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful. It was so nice hotel that we finally extended our stay.
Barbara  — 21.1.2011.
This luxurious hotel exceeded our expectations. We felt our stay in this hotel was the best of our 10 days holiday, travelling through Normandy and Brittany. The service at reception and for petit dejeuner was beyond reproach. We will certainly want to stay here again.

Situated in the center of the old town this hotel has an excellentlocation for walking everywhere. We found it very comfortable for our sixdays, with a good breakfast provided. We had one of the larger rooms andit is worth paying a little more for this. If we were visiting St Maloagain we would certainly use this hotel again as it was a wonderful basefor our holiday.
Zoe  — 13.6.2010.
A delightful hotel in a supremely convenient position. Pricey compared to other places we stayed elsewhere in France but that may be because it was St Malo. Our estate car was too big for the hotel parking slots, but they gave us discounted parking outside the city walls, a 5 min walk away. Very helpful staff and we had a pleasant one night stay.
Darren  — 20.3.2011.
We came to St Malo by ferry and this was our first time. As we didntreally know the area we took a taxi to the hotel, to our surprise wefound it very close to the port and is just a 10 min walk even withyour bags. The location is great and the staff are very helpful andspoke English. The breakfast was good and fresh, we would use thishotel again.

Great traditional beach hotel situated right on the promenade withdirect access onto the beach. About a 20 minute walk along the beach to the walledcity of St Malo so if you are happy to do some walking (no hills) thesituation of the hotel is very good. If you don’t fancy the walk thereare several nice and well-priced restaurants very close to the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean - we had a triple room -unfortunately it didn’t have a sea view which would have been perfect(but we booked very late in July for an early August stay.
Nicola  — 10.12.2010.
We wanted a hotel close to the sea rather than close to the centre. Perfect. There is plenty of choice and amount for the breakfast, eventhough it is continental style. The centre is still only 1km from thehotel, a 20 minute ish walk.
Tania  — 17.6.2010.
We had a sea view room which was lovely especially as there is no road between the hotel and the beach so therefore no traffic noise just the sound of the sea. There is a good size promenade which is safe for children with steps leading down to the beach. It is around a good 20 mins walk into the walled city. We liked the Hotel and stayed again for another night 6 nights later on our return to Guernsey.

Comfotable bed. Parking underneath the hotel, good to have it but extremely tight! If you want a seaview this is the hotel. Windows open in the rooms which is great for some fresh air. Very clean, good shower, nice staff.

The Reine Marine is directly above a long sweeping beach which is easily accessed via steps either side of the hotel building. The hotel is quiet, clean and comfortable which is perfect if you wish to relax on a weekend break. Although some 45 minutes walk from St Malo Centre, the walk is along the side of the beach and is worth undertaking as parking appears limited for the busy summer months around the walled city entrance.
