It is on one of the cycle routes from London to Paris that leaves you about 20miles to do on the last day. Looking up many hotels it casts about L100 per room per night more to get any closer in to Paris than this. There are alternatives before this but it makes the last day a challenging run in, if like us you had a 16. 15 Eurostar to catch.

The hotel was very comfortable and provided my elderly mother and I with all that we needed. Breakfast was very nice, beds comfortable, parking convenient and staff very friendly and helpful. I had asked in advance if our rooms could be next door (to reassure my mother) and this was done, which was much appreciated.

The location is great. The hotel is within walking distance of where Ineeded to go. Not only is there a restaurant inside the hotel, but thereare a couple others next to the hotel to choose from as well. The roomwas clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated too.

We found the staff friendly and helpful. Our room was clean &comfortable The location was good; although close to town, the hotel wassituated in a quiet woodland area. The restaurant was comfortable andoffered a good variety of dishes. Breakfast menu was excellent apartfrom the fact that it didn’t offer poached eggs which was a littledisappointing.

An extremely welcoming hotel with a fabulous restaurant. Staff were veryhelpful in storing our bicycles securely overnight and retrieving themfor us the following morning. Free internet access was useful.

This hotel is in a beautiful town and setting. Unfortunately the food and beverage staff totally spoil this. The service is appalling, in fact if you ask for anything they look at you in disgust and forget to bring you the thing you want. So on average you have to ask for something 3 times before getting served. Its a real shame as the hotel has so much potential. We found if we just used the room and eat somewhere else that this was the best option. There are many restaraunts in the town with better service and food. There is room service but only at certain times.

The hotel is an old building which is being renovated and the room I wasstaying in had a new bathroom and had been freshly painted. Thereceptionist advised me that new carpets were being fitted through-outin December. The hotel is set in a beautiful location with views across Paris. The staff all spoke perfect English and the bar and restaurant were fantastic. All in all an excellent stay and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

The position of the hotel is good for a trip into Saint-Germain andvisits to the Chateau and its gardens. For people who want to go intoParis the rer is close by and the trip into the centre is quite short.It is a reasonably priced hotel for people who are looking for alocation where you are out in the "country", can park your car and canaccess Paris easily.

With five children between 7 and 17 years, we had two apartments withfridge and cooking abilities. It was a wonderful solution and theapartments were very nice and clean. And for 3.5 euro, we could washour clothes. The supermarket was just outside. The staff was alsonice and helpful, one of them speaked english. We took the rar andmetro to central Paris everyday and had to walk 20 minutes (didn´ttry the bus) to the station, so it was not the best loaction for acitytrip. Our friends lives nearby and if it wasn´t for that we wouldhave choosed a hotel in central Paris. But then of course, it wouldhave cost a lot more.

Has all the basics you need - rather reminiscent of nicer student hallsI have stayed in -microwave, wifi, clean - just opposite is asupermarket and restaurant. Bus close by takes you to centre and rer -and in 30 minutes you are in Paris. Staff are not available after 8pm soneed to plan your arrival in order to get the codes to get in andoperate the lift etc. It is worth going for the larger option withseperate bedroom to have more flexibility in living area.

very good price, clean, secure carpark. location good, ideal if you want to use the train, very close to the station. we stayed here for 3 nights, 1 bed apartment with a baby, young child and teenager, was ideal for what we wanted a few nights in paris area for disneyland and visiting paris. if you want to buy food to cook using the cooker hob/micro, go to lidls, carefour was very overpriced.

I chose this hotel for three main reasons, location, price andsetting/environment. This was exactly what I was looking for. A longtime resident of the Saint Germain en Laye area, it is exactly the typeof hotel that was missing in the area with both an exceptional settingat a reasonible price. Newly refurbrished rooms which are up to todaysexpectations, polite, courteous staff. French style breakfast was servedin a lovely room in the original chateau, simple, good and more thansufficient. It's good to know that they serve drinks in the early evening, but lunch and dinner are only served upon reservation. This chateau was previously run as a retirement home and there are still some full time borders. It's 2,5km from the centre of Saint Germain and the RER to Paris, but they provide a shuttle service and have two vehicles for hire. This would be a nice quiet setting for business meetings, family get togethers or as a base for visiting the area.

There are very nice old veterans, relatives and members of the Order of the Légion d'Honneur, living in the castle. When there are no reconstruction works going on you can visit the historic wing (salons, library...) which is very pretty (a real 17th century chateau planned by Jules Hardouin-Mansart for the order of Louis XIV).
