The hotel was convenient, well-sited, and the staff were helpful. It was a very good budget hotel. You can park in a private square right outside the hotel. Good value.
Anonymous  — 11.8.2010
The hotel staff were friendly, the car park is €4. 20 and right underneath the hotel. thankfully there are signs all over the city for the hotel so it was easy to find. only 15 mins walk into the old part of the city,.
Robert  — 14.5.2010
This is a good budget hotel in a reasonable location on the south bank of the Seine not far from the city centre, assuming you have a reasonable level of fitness, I’m over 60 so you judge. There are some nice shops and bars nearby but for a meal either use the hotel or go into the city. If you are driving, the hotel may be a challenge to find. You must enter the parking for St Sever Commercial Centre off Avenue de Bretagne to get to the hotel parking.

The fact that it was very central to the historic districts of Rouen. The car park was useful but difficult to enter if one is not used to street barriers. Hotel information should make this clear, which currently it doesnt.

We were made very welcome by the manageress who was also very helpful with advice for tourists and gave us a map. The suggested restaurant (Bistroteque Chez Cedric) was very good. We chose Alive Hotel De Quebec because of its central location and car parking facilities. We enjoyed the view of the roof tops and cathedral spires from the 4th floor! It is a simple hotel but suited us very well for our short stay enroute south fro business.
Moyra  — 18.3.2011
I had read on the site that it was differcult to find the hotel so I looked it up on got details via the internet and it was very very easy! We were not able to use the parking at the hotel but were told that parking was available in a square nearby and it was. The couple who own/run the hotel could not have been more helpful to us. I would recommend the Hotel to anyone but more importantly it has a lift so it is great for disabled or imparied people to stay, and if you plan in advance you should be able to get the wonderful parking in the hotel.
Michael  — 25.6.2010
We booked by internet as a last stop travelling from Spain before Dieppe ferry and were guided by previous comments. Sat Nav took us directly to the Hotel and as we had reserved parking I phoned the front desk from outside. If ever near Rouen again we will definitely book this hotel. Its situation is id.

I like the spaciousness of the hotel rooms and the excellent quietness. The hotel rooms are very clean with large modern bathroom facilities. The hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Will choose the same hotelagain for future re-visit to the same region.
John  — 23.5.2011
A comfortable, modern hotel in a traditional 19thC. Reasonable valuefor money and good breakfasts. Evening meal not up to scratch but thehotel obviously only provides this service for the very weary who cannotbe bothered to go out. We would recommend this hotel to othertravelllers.
Coralie  — 29.6.2010
The owner was very helpful providing us with information regarding carrentals and day trips. The hotel is not "designer" but verycomfortable and the size of the room was great. The staff was also verygracious and helpful. The bathroom was nice with a heated towel rack andexcellent shower.

This was our third stay at the hotel - we use Rouen as a stopping off point when driving South, and have always really enjoyed our stays here. The hotel is in a fabulous location, very central with easy access to the city and restaurants. the hotel has massive charm though and the breakfast is always plentiful and tasty.
Jan  — 12.8.2010
The hotel is smack in the middle of town, allowing you to emerge in theold city of Rouen. All you want to explore in Rouen during a short visitis right in reach. Our teenage kids really appreciated the cosy atmosphere and theproximity of so much authenticity. Unlike what we experienced earlier inother 2 - 3 star hotels in France, breakfast was very good!.
Allison  — 14.1.2011
My family and I loved everything about this hotel. It is a small, family run hotel within the old city of Rouen. Although the carpet and furnishings were worn in some places, it did not take away from the charm of the hotel. A great overall stay!.
