The hotel is nicely located, not far from 2 metro stations- Republic and Jacques Bonsergent and lovely Saint Martin canal area. The station Republic is good to change the metro lines to visit monuments&places. A lot of cafe`s arround. At the same time the hotel is on quiet street so we had good night sleep. Very polite personell. The room was as expected and seen on webpage. For 2 star hotel -good bads & good breakfest- cheese, some meet, boiled egs, fresh fruits, flakes, yoghurts, juice, bread, jams, coffe&tee. A funny and small elevator- for one person and medium sized bag only, I have not seen something like this before, so I enjoyed it very much. The hotel also provide bath&shower gel, soups, good towels. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Good location, convenient for metro and walking distance from main railway stations. Very good value for money, yes the walls were thin and we could here the drunken guest next door when he came in late, and the lift was indeed the smallest I have ever seen in my life but room size was good, bathroom a bit basic.Considering this is a 2* I think Republique is good, and better than some 4* at twice the price. The style and individual personality of the hotel is quite cute, all rooms are decorated in a theme and as a concept I think it works. If you don't want to pay a lot and like quirky contemporary then stay here!

This was our 4th stay at the Republique, and it is still one of the bestbargains in Paris! The rooms are basic, but are a good size for Parisand they each have character. The location is super, near RepuliqueMetro which connects you to all points in Paris. But we actually walk tomany points in Paris from here! The hotel seems to be undergoingrenovations (there were no problems because of this!), so thelobby/breakfast area is all new.
