As a solo traveler for the first time in Paris, the hotel was greatbecause I could stay a little out of the city core and save some money.I have had other friends stay in Paris and never leave the Marais / St-Germain / Champs d'Elysees / Tour Eiffel / Quartier Latin area. It isgreat to stay in a place where real people live. In terms of location,it is a 5 - 7 minute walk to the metro but it turned out great for me :- Velib station less than 1 minutes away (I gave up my metro pass and just started to use Velib - a better way to see the city) - 9 minute walk to Denfort-Rochereau, which is on the RER B line. This goes both to Orly and Charles LeGaulle. And the Orlybus also directly from Denfort-Rochereau to Orly in under 30 minutes. As someone who landed in Orly, this hotel is much more convenient to get to than those on the rive droite, considering changing metro lines three times is not my cup of tea with a 20kg luggage... - Great price for breakfast and really filling. Bit of a hidden gem. Picked it through this website, location, price andreviews seemed good and it did indeed live up to to all of this. As our flights were from Orly airport this hotel is so easy to get to from the Orlybus shuttle which goes to the Denfert Rochereau monorail terminus. (in fact on the way from Orly airport we got off at the stop before the Denfert terminus (Alesia something)and the hotel was an easy 5 min walk. On the way back to Orly we had to walk to Denfert (10 mins) and catch the Orlybus shuttle. In terms of access to Paris, again walking distance to closest metro (Alesia) Line 4 purple.Very easy to get to and very quick to get into the city and sights. We felt very safe & often caught metro back late at night and walked back to hotel. Walk about 5-7mins, metro is close to lots of shops, supermarket & cafes. Just near the hotel is cafe & kebab place. Although the hotel has its own restaurant. The Hotel owner (father & son ?) were really nice. Friendly & helpful
