We booked this hotel because it was near the Gare du Nord, not too far away from places we wanted to visit (we did almost everything walking) and breakfast was said to be good. It's an ideal hotel for a short stay. The room was fairly small (no cupboard to put things away) but that didn't bother us for a 1 night stay. Room had a flatscreen tv. We slept at the street side but had no problems with 'noise' that was mentioned in other reviews - we even slept with the window open (there is airconditioning in the room but we prefer an open window for fresh air). The bed was comfortable, not too soft nor too hard. Hotel management closely watches the cleaning ladies as I heard them discuss about how important tidiness is to them (and the customer). When we checked in they came looking if everything in our room was in order. Breakfast was very good at this price range: you serve yourself from pain français over croissants to cereals and yoghurt. There is enough choice - even fresh orange juice

The hotel's room was clearly recently renovated: modern furniture, bathroom and tv. There is free wi-fi all over. The tv has severalchannels with language selection (when possible). Breakfast was fine:ham, cheese, croissants, jam and you get to squeeze your own orangejuice (with a fast machine). The hotel is very close to the subwaystation cadet, only 3 stops aways from Opera/Galerie lafayette. Thereare also bars/restaurants near the hotel. The hotel street is quiet asit's not a major boulevard but a quite one way road. Parking in thestreet is not easy, better go via public transport or put the car in aparking nearby (there's a few).

There's really not much to complain about a hotel which was refurbishedand opened only 6 months ago. The rooms are clean, a bit on the smallside but that's Paris for you anyway. Breakfast was excellent, locationis good (rather close to Gare du Nord but you are completely out of thedodgy area surrounding the station).
