We were on a 5 day vacation in Paris. We took the Eurostar from Londonto Paris. The North train station is only a 10min walk to Est Hotel. Thelocation is great for getting around Paris. A 5 min walk to the hop onhop off bus (we got the 3 day pass-only 2 euros more than the one day-besure to get yellow open Tour Bus-most regular service-best routes. Thereare restaurants everywhere-excellent supper for 5-10 Euros. The hotel isas pictured in the ad. I liked the deep soaker tub after a day oftouring. The staff all spoke english and had great suggestions. Forexample, instead of paying 60-100 Euros to go to the palace atVersailles we paid 6 Euros each by metro with only one change (metro is5min away)-be sure to get the 25 Euro pass instead of 18--includesguided tour and many other areas. The area has about 20% north africanmigrants, but with families and lots of people about, always felt safe. For the price, location and helpful staff this was a great hotel.

We stayed a week in a triple room. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff were great at the hotel and very thoughtful to our needs( I traveled with my two 12 yr. Olds) and they have the most beautiful black lab. dog. The hotel is surrounded by great resturants and supermarkets, and bread shops- Patisseries. Great proximity to the train stations, just 10 mins walk. At the suggestion of the hotels staff we did the following- We had a pleasant 40 minute walk to Notre Dame the first day and a 50 minute walk to the Louve the next. We caught a bus 47 to st. Germain and the 32 to the Eiffel tower,N.B. book the tower on line the day before and avoid the crowds, we stood for 2 1/2 hours to get tickets! All in all a great week in Paris.

Our triple bedroom was on the 4th floor with no view however the cleanliness and the comfort of the beds made up for that. I have 2 severe asthmatic sons and neither of them needed their inhalers at all whilst in the hotel. The beds were very comfortable. The room was basic, (no tea-making, french law) however there was shampoo and soap in the bathroom. The shower was better than our one at home The rooms were made up and cleaned each day. This is a non-smoking, pet free hotel. The hotel was a 2minute walk from a small supermarket and there are plenty of places to eat within a 5 minute walk. The night concierge had very good english and arranged for us to have breakfast before we left at 5.30 am
