One of the definite pluses of this hotel is the fact that a Metro stop is located right in front of the hotel. It's also right across the street from the Gare l'Est station. We booked a triple room, and it was just perfect for our needs. There is no air con, but if you open the windows it's fine. There was also a bidet in the bathroom, which we found amusing. The street outside is busy, it's true, and if you need perfect peace and quiet, you probably won't like it here. We closed the windows at night and found it manageable. Breakfast in the morning is continental style with croissants, baguettes, yogurt, and fruit. It was quite good. If you're a casual tourist and traveler, I would recommend this hotel because of its closeness to Metro and train stations, and it is quite clean and comfortable for a good night's rest before another day of site-seeing.

The location is very convenient. The hotel served reasonably goodbreakfast which is the biggest bonus! We don't have to go out for ourbreakfast to start our sight-seeing trips around Paris. The room &toilet is very clean with daily cleaning. The staff is the biggest assetof the hotel. We would like to express our thanks & appreciation to MrHichen, the guy from the hotel reception; he speaks perfect English andis very helpful in answering our questions and queries. He helps usorganised our night sight-seeing trips and keeps our luggages safe whenwe checked out. We noticed that he patiently explains everything to allthe guests despite being so busy with so many guests coming in & out. Weare fortunate to meet Hichen and wish him all the best! The best thingof Amiot Hotel is Mr Hichen! Ciao!

We choose hotel Amiot for good price and great location, however yourexperience depends on room you will get. We didn't get a view (windowswere facing inner walls) but it was totally quiet and we did sleepwindows open. Bathroom was big and had big window. It was a bit smelly, but matresses were new and new towels every day. Reminded me Mexicanposadas, with less character. Breakfast was basic (hot drink-coffee, teaor cacao, croissant, piece of baguette, individual jar of jam and butterfor 3 euros), cereals, fruits, plain yoghurt and juice extra for 7euros, no ham, cheese, eggs. One thing I was really grateful every nightreturning to hotel- Gare d'Est metro station Sortie 6 (Strasbourg) hadthose moving stairs all the way up. (First one is behind stairs, nextexit- easy to miss)
