I liked the setting and the food and the friendliness of the staff. I greatly enjoyed the peace and quiet. The location is good for hiking trips in the Grand Ballon to Col de la Schlucht area and there is easy access to Colmar, Mulhouse, as well as Turckheim and Munster. Guibwiller itself has a lot of shops and a wonderful piscine (though the hygienic outfit of that piscine leaves much to be des.

My family (my husband and I plus our two year old daughter) had a lovelytime at Le Saint Barnabé. Although it is listed as a three star hotel,Le Saint Barnabé feels more like a four star hotel. When arriving in the beautifully renovated house and seeing our room, wefelt like we were in a little piece of paradise. The decoration,furniture, and colours are all so charming. The location is reallypeaceful and we had access to a great garden of flowers. Our hosts werecharming and provided us with useful recommendations for visiting thearea and for supper. Highly recommended !
