The beautiful situation and style of the hotel was immediately endearing. Staff were charming and helpful. We did not use the restaurant choosing, instead, to travel into town as we had already eaten in hotels on the three previous nights. However, we shall definitely use Domaine de la Tortiniere for a stopover next year and make a point of sampling their cuisine.

The hotel with its several outbuildings is quite spectacular. We lovedthat our room opened onto a lawn where children and puppies played. Theatmosphere and comfort level were excellent. The staff was prompt andattentive. Room service als. Furnishings were just lovely....highceilings. Wonderful draperies. All in all, a wonderful stay.

The hotel is a little castel very charming. Our room was very cozy,despite the separate wc too small. Outstanding staff, especiallySandrine, a portuguese who helped us with our orders in the restaurant.The food and the service were awsome. Unfortunately our stay was tooshort. Highly recommended!

The location and gardens were excellent, and the food was good, thoughsomewhat overpriced. However, a good test of the management of thishotel will be how they respond to an oversight of my wife - she left apair of black shoes in Room 12 on the morning of Wednesday, 1st June. Wetried phoning but got no response. They presumably have our address andthey would get top marks if they sent them back. We would naturally behappy to refund the postage. Here's hoping!

Beautiful setting, and pretty garden. Dinner was very good indeed, and worth the money for a meal of high quality. The hotel is too far from the town centre for popping in and out, but was perfect for a special one night trip. Eat at the hotel restaurant as the food was worth it.The room was very clean and had character. It was a twin room, with 3 beds and a view of the water.

Location. Character Property. Very attractive surroundings(even though close to motorway) Warm welcome. Very attentive and friendly staff. Excellent food beautifully presented. Only an overnight stay, but would certainly return in the future.

The warmth and welcoming attitude of Geraldine at Reception when we arrived and although the restaurant was closed due low season, she made a splendid dinner for us. She gets many points.

When I arrived at the hotel, there was no staff. There were no staff at the hotel all night, or next morning Therewas no chance of breakfast or even a drink. Joan Nicholson (The reason for delay in replyingis I have just returned from France. ).

Ease of access from the motorway. Staff friendly and helpful, but could do with some extra staff as they were very busy. They had run out of the ’specials’ on the blackcoard for dinner but still brought it to us and then informed us they did not have the items on it! We had the replacements which were good.

Staff were really friendly even though we arrived really late. Good breakfast and great location for touring the Loire. Good range of information with in hotel about surrounding chateaux. Also useful map on ale from reception.

Excellent location for an overnight stop between the south of France and Calais. The room was very good and the resturant/bar was appreciated as the hotel was in a commercial area.
