Nice clean room and very spacious. Nice to have a balcony and nice view of the sea. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Nice feel to the hotel and great location close to the sea.

Comfort and all mod cons. Tv with satelite and sale of drinks from thelobby. Relaxing environment, with excellent views of the beach atbreakfast. Local to the best bits of Granville and parking.

The receptionist was so helpful to us in accomodating our young child,while the stay at the hotel was very relaxing. The Breakfast buffet isMercure standard, so that’s pretty good - nice view over thesea/promenade. It is up a steep hill but very close to the town centre(you could always get a taxi back up !). We would definitely staythere again.

Very beautiful grand old house with friendly professional staff, veryhelpful and accomodating., They let me book into my room early to saveme from carryimg around my suitcase for hours. The restaurant was anexcellent dining experiance, food was well presented and tasted gteat, Iwas given excellent service from both the restaurant manager and hisstaff. I would reccomend this hotel and restaurant to friends andfamily. Thank you

A truly beautiful hotel, currently being refurbished but hopefully they won't lose the classic French glamour in the modernisation! Tempted to write a bad review so that people don't flock there, but cannot fault the staff, location or hotel in general, although some details need amending in the room (no mirror over dresser, no shower curtain or hook for shower curtain). Wonderful, romantic, be prepared for some imperfections but these only add to the charm

The Hotel de France et Chateaubriand has decent Old World charm withadequate modern facilities (elevator, jacuzzi bath in the seaside viewroom) and a spectacular seaside view of the Grand bé, Fort National andramparts. The room was large and clean, and the beds were comfortable.The oceanside room was quiet, being well insulated with thermal glasswindows, full walls between neighboring rooms, and double doors at theentrance of the room. The ceiling was high and there was good heating.
