This hotel is a litte way our of Chenonceaux but it is easy walking distance (and even easier on bikes) and is better value than staying in Chenonceau itself. The staff are helpful and pleasant the rooms and bathrooms modern and clean, although not large.

This is an excellent family run hotel. It is simple, clean and very wellrun. We had an evening meal on our arrival selected from a fixed pricemenu and the quality of the food was exceptional, one of the best mealswe had during our entire trip . The room was very comfortable and clean.If I was in this part of France again I would make a point of staying atClair Cottage.

The staff members, especially laurent and benjamin, were very friendlyand helpful. Laurent, especially, stayed several hours past his normalleaving time to wait for our arrival, as our plane had been ninetyminutes late. The breakfasts, although not included in the price, weresatisfying, with cereals, fruit, cold meats and cheeses, breads andcroissants, home-made jams, coffee and tea. Although WiFi was notprovided in the rooms, a free computer terminal with high speed internetwas available for guest use in the lobby of the hotel. The beds werequite comfortable, and the shower was Excellent!

We stayed at this lovely B&B in early July. We loved the position, outer an inner decoration of the 19th villa, cleanliness and decor of the room, and the hospitality of Mrs and Mr Rasquin. It is a great place for a family stay (big garden and backyard) or a short romantic break to Loire valley.

La Maison de Famille is a warm, friendly b&b that is an excellentalternative to a hotel. Our room was charming, the bed was excellent,breakfast was delicious and varied, and our host, Madame Rasquin, wasfriendly and helpful. In addition to being a couple of minutes away fromthe Chenonceau Chateau, the village of Chenonceaux is not far from manyof the other chateaux you'll want to visit, and has at least two reallygood restaurants. Highly recommended.

"La Maison" has real character and provides a warm b&b welcome in awonderful location within a short level walk of the famous chateau ofChenonceaux. Our room was perfectly charming and had one of the mostcomfortable beds we have found in any room on our travels. The ownersare hospitality personified and could not be more obliging. Althoughthe normal check-in time is 5.00 pm, when we arrived unexpectedlyearly at just after midday, the owner kindly allowed us to leave ourbags and gave advice on where we could eat locally. Later, when wereturned in sweltering heat from the chateau tour we were offeredcomplimentary tea in the delightful private garden. Breakfast was atypical continental but distinguished by delicious fresh ingredientsincluding freshly squeezed orange juice. A very recommendable place tostay in this region.

Very close to the Chateau Chenonceau, which was our reason for staying. Food was excellent. Room clean, but quite dated and the bathroom was a little cramped.

Loved the great and good value food. Very pleasant welcome and service.Handy nearby (5 or more minutes on foot) free hotel car park. Just afigurative stone’s throw from the fabulous (and very different!) chateau.

The location is very quiet & set beautiful gardens. The location is alsovery good for visiting Chateau in the area. The Management are verypleasant & helpful. We had the Chambre Royale, with the biggest bathroomI've ever seen.

The hotel owner picked us up from the train station once we realized that there were no taxis around. The room was beautiful and massive with a four-poster bed, a sitting area, a lovely view of the grounds, a shower, and a large bathtub. The decorations were gorgeous, especially in the bathroom and the whole room had a nice, relaxing feel to it. The grounds were huge and beautiful (and included a pool). A great place for kids to run around or to have a picnic. Breakfast was included in the hotel rate and the owner served us breakfast personally. We also spoke with the other owner (a married couple run the hotel) and she was extremely sweet and helpful. They also booked us a taxi for the next day.
