The Le Portes de l’Aubrac turned out to be exactly what we expected, i. a small, friendly, possibly family run hotel, in a delightful village with the added attraction of a volcanic spa. We used it going down and on the way back, where upon the staff recognised us which was nice. The staff we met all spoke good English.

We were travelling back from Spain and had booked this hotel for a sleepover stay. The route from St. Flour to the hotel was absolutelymagnificent with stunning views. We would visit the place again even ifwe chose to stay somewhere else!.
